  1. I recieved an Amp already thanks for all the p.m.'s, It was a freebie so i couldn't be happier, now to just find a DIY on this site on how to do all the wireing required...
  2. I have never used it on a amp that had one, I still bought the converter to rca, you can try it and let me know how it sounds, I would think the converter and rca would sound better. I have installed systems on bose stere's and monsoon systems and boston acoustics and plenty more... I have never not used a RCA converter, for a stock H.U. hook-up...
  3. choose any two channels to splice into ( I would prefer the rear speakers) , I take it you already know about having to purchase the converter.... just make sure you splice in after the amp. i would go under the console to make hiding everything easier.. http://crutchfield.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4123 - wiring diagram.
  4. What are you looking for it? How many amps is the stock amplifier?
  5. will do, I have my complete console out of the truck currently, i will post up a few pics of the pieces you have to look around in order to see the amp... And a actual photo of the amp....
  6. Not trying to thread jack but is your A.C. when it start making this weird noise coming from under the steering wheel area? Mine starting doing that last year... Super annoying...
  7. My stock bose amplifier got pop on it and took a poop (go figure its under the cup holders beneath the console great location....) looking for something I can hard wire in its place that has alittle more power to replace to hopefully make sound better.... Anyone know of some who has done this I would appreciate it.
  8. Thanks i'll see if I can make some sense of this in order to use these wires to power my new amp.... And to figure out what speakers wires power what speaker in order to hook those up as well...
  9. My speedo is doing the same thing right now.. but my speedo only quicks working when I stomp on it! which is usually pretty often.. lol
  10. Not that I all the great at these trucks audio systems as I am hving trouble of my own right now, if you pull the pad out of the bottomof your console and remove the 4 phillips head screws and i think about 4 around the outer rim that is usually covered just by the console lid that entire storage peiece should pull out of your console and if you look down the will be a metal protective looking plate and right beneath that should be your bose amplifier.... I can you post you some pics if you want. Edit: I suck at typing if you couldn't tell...
  11. ">"> Can anyone tell me what these wires are? I would assume these are the power supply and ground for the amp but not sure which is which, I don't have a voltage meter either...
  12. All i was wanting to do is put a different sub in the console one that packs alittle but more a noticable punch... and swap out the weak stock amp for a more powerful one... I might not even hook up that sub if its going to be an issue...
  13. SQ? what is that? so a 4 ohm amp should work? how many actual amps is the bose system, out of curiosity? and when you say i wouldn't mess with the tweeter to you mean un hook them or that they will be fine I know how to go about hooking a " Normal" system up inside an out but this bose configuration has me spinning...
  14. all new speakers.... what is impedance? does this include the tweeters? edit: Also is there a wiring diagram availible on this site, that anyone could provide?
  15. can you get that circuit board wet? I wouldn't think so... do you know of anyone taking a aftermarket amplifier and wiring it to run all the cab speakers/sub using the existing wiring? like a swap out I tried searching but did find anything but maybe i didn't search for the right word...
