  1. How's this project coming? Any luck? I hope you're having some good luck...
  2. Anybody ever pull the trigger on these? I'd like to know for my truck...
  3. Been so busy. Had two deaths in the family, started back to school all in the same week. Wanted to get my truck all shined up and ready for the emblems, but I haven't even had it out of the garage...

  4. Got them today and they are great-looking. I will have to finally get some pics of my truck up with the new emblems on there. I am a very satisfied customer, lol...
  5. I would love to have those headers, but money is so tight right now....
  6. You wouldn't be able to get the part numbers, would ya? If I said please? I have looked on their website but I am not sure which ones to get...
  7. Does anyone have any suggestions on some shocks I could get for the rear of my truck to keep it from bouncing when I haul my 4500# boat? I have bilsteins on my car and they are great for handling, but towing is a whole different animal. Anybody upgraded their stock 2wd non lowered truck? Mine is just a regular VHO with nothing done to it. My boat trailer sadly has only one axle and it is pretty bouncy and really puts a lot of weight on my rear end.
  8. You mean you don't have to have it paid off to be on this forum? Someone lied to me. Luckily, I paid cash for mine (military bonus).... Mine isn't an SS anyways, just a GMC VHO. Sticker was $38k... I got medically retired from the military after getting hurt on duty, so now it's balogna and ramen noodles, but I still have my truck!
  9. I don't have a local GM dealer. I would like a set and at least one of the GM Performance Division badges. Actually, I need a couple of them.
  10. My truck doesn't run well on 89 or 87 octane. It gets much worse gas milage on it, too. I have never put anything but high test in it, but other people have borrowed my truck and put regular in it. The increase in mileage more than pays the price difference. I thought that you had to put at least 92 in it because of the high compression?
  11. Dardy, Hey, I'm just curious as a future exhaust system buyer as to why you don't like the Gibson system. It was on my list of maybes....
  12. Hey, when I went to your link, it just took me to an empty cart... How many miles did you get out of your first set of pads? I have 63,xxx on mine and they look ridiculously thick. I was amazed. In fact, I thought something must be wrong, but after looking around here and talking to other GM truck folks, I found out the first set routinely goes way over a 100k... My truck has a whole lot of HWY miles on it, too.... I would like to have one of the bigger brake kits they advertise, but I don't know anything about them. I have rotors all around. I am interested in what the guys have to say about slotted and drilled, etc...
  13. Allen, You have a great name, my middle name is Allen, lol... You even spell it correctly, haha... I am sort of familiar with the color temperature scale because one of my other hobbies is photography... I have already changed my thinking and I want to go all HID now, you guys are educating me about all this stuff. I think I might go either 6000 kelvin or 8000 with all of them. I was looking at a guy's new new body style chevy today, those lights those things have look serious. I wish mine had those that are more focused forward, I forget what they call them. I am gonna start with the fog lights though, maybe with this kit you have shown me. I figure that I can go up against the learning curve a lot more safely with the fogs, then move to the DRL's, then highs, then lows. I should have a pretty good idea of what I like by then... Maybe you should go ahead and buy these to see how you like them and then let me know how it turns out, lol... One of us has to go first, hahahhhhaaa......
  14. What are the brightest plug and play bulbs I can run for my fog lights without burning something up? What a bout upgrades on my brights and regular lights? I plan on doing the diode upgrade so I can run them all at once, and I don't think I will do the HID upgrades. Anybody know? Suggestions? Thanks guys...
