  1. I love where i live no emissions testing whatsoever, they just check to make sure you have cats and a muffler and youre done. Even with a MIL or SES light you still pass
  2. That really does sound good, I think it sounds meaner than mine with the dual in dual out. Honestly it wasnt any deeper on mine, Just louder with a hair of resonance. I will try to talk my buddy at work into lettin me hijack his youtube account and post mine on there, So you can hear it. Even though it wont be exactly the same as dual magnaflows. Btw my muffler does have a built in xpipe
  3. I plan on putting pioneer d series front and rear. components up front and 2ways in the rear. I will be running an aftermarket amp when i finally get the money. Im waiting now to install my pioneer TS-SW3001S2 12in shallow and a gm-d7500m to power it. Im really not looking forward to building that box it just gonna take time, time and some more time in 100+ weather, dang no garage!
  4. Me to man. If only a Vmax or ss could be traded straight across for a brand new version that would be the day GM wouldprove they can be generous
  5. I have a dual in dual out magnaflow on mine with turndowns. I love it. It sounds mean Close to my buddys 5.3 with cats and no muffler without the popping and a lot quieter. I had pipes out both sides but it just wasnt loud enough they are sittin in my front yard now!
  6. Also im seeing to options for tranny filters. for a shallow pan and a deep pan. Whats the difference?
  7. I checked on the amsoil site and they dont have a replacement for the Auto trak II. I did find Auto trak II from summitracing.com for like 8 bucks a quart and then shiping. Does anyone know how much it runs at the dealer?
  8. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. Are there any oils that can be substituted for the auto trak II? If not is there anywhere but GM to get it? How much does it usually run?
  9. I recently purchased a 2006 Vmax 4x4. I plan on replacing all fluids in the drivetrain soon. I just wanted to get some opinions on what oils to use. I plan on doing both front and rear differentials, the trasmission, and transfercase. I was considering mobil1 for the trans and diffs but am not sure on the trans case Mitchell shows it to use auto trac2 and i wanted to know if there where any oils that could be substituted for it(if there are. are they better?). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Btw the truck has 116xxx and i will not be towing very often but when i do it will be at least 6k lbs(if that matters)
  10. Did you ever get a vin for an 06 vmax 4x4? If not let me know.
  11. Im a newbie on the forum so take this with a grain of salt but you could procharge it.
  12. I bought my 06 GMC VMax 4x4 2 months ago with more miles than that for the same price but pickups are high where i live anyway. BTW does anybody have some VHO wheels they want to get rid of. I dont like the regular gmc 17s mines got.
  13. I live in Amarillo Tx and recently purchased a 2006 GMC Vmax 4wd.
