Now i'm passing on the savings to someone else. It has higher miles but I swear it's been the best vehicle i've ever owned. I had a 07 duramax with 70k miles on it that had more problems than i've dealt with on this truck...

Other Uprgrades and additions since my ownership in the last 3 years- Volant Cold air intake. All new moog front suspension (everything is TIGHT). New brakes and rotors front and rear. Rebuilt rear differential with all new bearings, seals and gears. New spark plugs, and MSD wires. Perma-Coat Bedliner. I bought my truck 3 years ago at around 145k miles. I daily drive it but my commute is short. I've put 10k miles on it. When I bought it I noticed the transfercase made a howling/gear whine noise. I took it down and made sure all the fluids were full. They were. Fast forward 3 years to yesterday driving to work. I noticed the same typical howling gear whine was getting a little louder, and then noticed the truck had a drag to it. It felt like it was being held back by something on deceleration. Few more miles down the road it was now shuddering on deceleration as if something was binding up and getting ready to lock up. I was basically to work by this point, so at stop signs i'd slow down using the brake and I'd give it a light amount of gas to ensure it didn't bind up and lock up. After I got to work I got underneath the truck and started checking fluids, I found that the transfercase was basically empty. This was a shock given the miles I've put on the truck, and the fact the truck doesn't leak any fluids. I topped off the transfer case after draining out what little fluid was in there. I bought the autotrek blue from gm. Drove the truck maybe 2 miles and it didn't sound or feel any better so I parked it. When the truck shudders it feels to me like it's coming from the front end. But it doesn't make sense if the front diff is full and the transfercase was the low one. I feel inclined to believe it's the front diff, but want to make sure before I buy a transfer case for it. Or has anyone fixed this issue? Thanks in advance!

Just ordered mine. I really wanted to do the 06 grill and the hood to go along with it too, but I can't justify the extra expense when I like the look either way....

lol. I'm in my winter wheels and tires 85.00.... The tires were bought off a local site for 75 bucks and my friend picked them up on his way to my house so I gave him 10 bucks for gas. The tires are Big O A/T's. Literally look to be new without nubs only. Wheels were a freebie that are off my neighbors tahoe, so stock 17's. They work great! I suggest this route to anyone who isn't running a big brake kit.

Those are damn cheap. Anyone here ever bought one from that company and know if it fits well? And I must be stupid cause I had no idea the front ends were different in 06-07. What is different?

I pmed you like 4-5 days ago, I need a glove box door, and the little plastic cover for the key hole on the rear bumper.

Looks like a really fun setup. You should sell that 408 though and buy my engine, it'd handle anything that F1r could throw at it with a good tuner ;). Good luck with the build, hopefully ill be able to do a pretty decent build on mine eventually.
