  1. I bought one of those for my cousin (he's 22 years younger than me) for Christmas 6 or 8 years ago. It seems like it was $20-$40 and I bought it at Dunham's.
  2. I had a bagged S10 from 2000-2005 and a bagged S10 Blazer from 2005-2007. I loved driving my bagged trucks. I'd absolutely bag my Silverado if it wasn't AWD and I didn't drive it in the winter. My valves froze in my other trucks making them pretty much useless in the winter. In my 7 years and about 50k miles I only had trouble related to the air bags three times. Shortly after bagging it the parking brake cable melted and locked closed. I had to put a turn down on the exhaust before the axle. The heat from the exhaust melted the rubber around the parking brake cable. When I stopped for a pack of smokes and a soda the rubber solidified and absolutely would not budge. The truck would not move. I had a compressor fail. Luckily I had a schrader valve to fill it up enough to limp it home. It turned out the compressor failed because my air system was filled with water. This was shortly after bagging it for the first time. I didn't know that I had to dump the water from the tanks. My truck was one of the first bagged trucks in Michigan, so it was a learning experience. I had a custom exhaust put in the Blazer. A couple of days later it developed a leak in one of the lines. The shop laid the plastic air line on top of the new exhaust system. The hole was near a fitting. I had enough slack to cut the line and connect it back to the fitting.
  3. I'm a Glock guy myself, there are many great options out there. I compete in GSSF, but if it weren't for that I'd probably carry a Smith and Wesson M&P. Stock they kind of suck, but there is a guy around here that puts custom sears in them that make the trigger amazing.
  4. Subaru drivers are the worst. They have zero clue how to drive. Volkswagen drivers are usually very feminine. I'm pretty sure farfegnugen is German for "I prefer penis".
  5. For those of us south of the border, that's 621 miles. With our 22 gallon tanks, that would require getting over 28 MPGs. I'm not sure I could go 621 miles on two tanks.
  6. My seatback element was burned out and did the exact same thing. I've read that it's usually the seatback. It's pretty easy to check. All you have to do is put the seat all the way forward, and at the bottom of the seatback there is a two plastic channels that are locked together. Jam a small screwdriver and seperate the channels. Once that's done, move the seat in a position that works for you and slide the cover up as much as you can. It has velcro on the inside of the cover. After you've done that, pull the element out. It will be taped in there, but it's not a big deal. You'll be able to tell if it's burned out. This is what my element looked like. I ordered this part to replace it. I think I found a $5 off coupon. http://www.partstrai...ch&Ntt=RB641106&= It was about a 15 minute repair.
  7. That truck is hot. Stupid needing a back seat. The first pic is my new wallpaper too.
  8. Congrats on the new truck. You're going to love it. Just an FYI, your truck is not Sport Red. It's Victory Red. Sport Red was that purplish red.
  9. The Lions are getting healthy at just the right time. I really think they have a chance.
  10. on both counts. It may have been June, I don't remember.
  11. I put a set of factory cats back on the truck. It made a night and day difference. The rasp at low RPMs was unbearable before. I'm still not super happy with the sound. It doesn't really sound like a Corsa to me. It sounds like a beat up farm truck with glass packs. My problme is not how loud it is, it's the tone that it has. It sounds better than the factory system, but not as good as other Corsas I've heard before. If I had it to do all over again, I'd spend a couple of more bucks for the touring system.

    Got Stung

How fast were you going? I have a concealed pistol license. I'm pretty sure if I hopped out of my truck to get a picture it would end bad for me.
  13. Edit, got it figured out, I'm keeping it.
  14. I spoke with autoanything. It looks like the system is for autoanythiing to request a return authorization from Corsa. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Corsa will deny it sometime late next week. EDIT It is for sale pending Corsa refusing to warrantee it. http://www.silverado...t-back-exhaust/
  15. I was unhappy with autoanything for a minute. My frustration with them was when I was sent a shipping confirmation number and it never got shipped. I didn't know at that time that it was being drop shipped by Corsa. It was 100% Corsa's fault. I've been dealing with a guy named Ramon at AA and they've actually made their way back into my good graces. Like I said earlier, I had another Corsa on my old Z71 and loved it. I actually worked at a Chevy dealer and back then Corsas were a GM Accessory. The dealer I worked at sold at least 10 Corsa systems, all using my truck as the demo. I'm pretty disapointed that this isn't going to work for me. I loved the sound of my old Corsa.
  16. OK, so I guess I'll give you the update. I've been in touch with Chad from Corsa. I have been emailing and calling him since Monday. This has been a painfully slow process. What they have come up with is that it's the lack of factory catalytic converters that is causting this issue. He suggests that I put them back on and I'll be good to go. I told him that putting the factory cats on my truck will cost about $1,000, so that's not going to happen. He's not sure if putting a Corsa touring muffler on my pipes will solve the issue or not, but they'll be kind enough to sell me one for just a tick over $400. I told him I didn't want to spend an extra $400, especially since they don't know for sure if it will fix the problem. He also recommended that I keep my eye out for a used touring muffler on ebay and craigslist. I'm not interested in spending more money or time getting this taken care of. I told him that I'd be putting my factory exhaust back on. I asked about the return policy. He said that Corsa wouldn't participate, but I was welcome to contact autoanything. I'm waiting to hear back from my guy at autoanything. I'm not holding my breath. I have a feeling I'll have a like new Corsa dB system for sale here very soon. Like I told Chad from Corsa, I don't think anyone intentionally did anything wrong. It's just an unfortunate set of circumstances that result in this not working for me. I'm not very happy that it looks like I'm going to be the one left holding the bag. I'm also more than a little frustrated at the complete lack of urgency from anyone at Corsa. My order was supposed to ship 12/15 (they even sent me a shipping notification). They didn't ship it 'til 12/22 (Chad promised me it would ship 12/21, but that didn't happen). During this time I spoke to people at autoanything that couldn't get ahold of Corsa, and I personally sat on hold with Corsa for over 2 hours to get ahold of someone.
  17. OK, so I got it on Friday. I installed it today. I HATE IT!!! It is undriveable in it's current condition. It sounds like two ricers with fart cans are racing each other, and that's at 1400 RPMS! I can't drive this thing out of the neighborhood without being the neighborhood ****. I can think of three causes. 1) 03mass was right. This exhaust really isn't for our trucks. 2) No cats. My truck doesn't have any catalytic converters. It made the stock exhaust raspy, but this dB system is insane. This is my best guess. 3) Bad lifter. I've been battling an exhaust rattle in my truck since right after I bought it in July. My rattle was the worst after the truck warmed up, and at about 1800 RPMs. When I get off the freeway it would rattle like crazy right before it downshifted. I had two mechanics that I trust look at it. One thinks it has a bad lifter and it was being amplified in the muffler. The other thought it was either a catalytic converter or loose baffle in the muffler. We eliminated the cats (one of them was plugged and the truck was running like crap), but the sound continued. I have no doubt that something was loose in the factory exhaust. I could get under the truck and pound it and it would rattle. I could hear crap rattling in the factory exhaust after I took it out. There was certainly something wrong with it. 4) Something is wrong with the muffler I got. Maybe they forgot the muffling part lol. I honestly don't know where to go from here. I guess I'll call Corsa techical support on Monday, and maybe have a local muffler shop look at it.
  18. This one has been on Ebay since I bought my truck in July. At that time the dealer had it listed on Autotrader and the dealer website for about $12,000 (and $14,777 on ebay). I called the dealer and was told that it was sent to auction. It has since been removed from their website. I strongly doubt they still have it. I don't know why they continue to advertise it on Ebay.
  19. It doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy knowing that guy owns a gun.
  20. You knew better. You just wanted to show off. It's cool. You can post more pics of her. We won't get mad.
  21. Just a quick update. I typed out this super long explenation of what happened. It is probably hard to follow and not very interesting. The condensed version is I got a shipment confirmation, order never shipped, and now I'm getting the runaround from autoanything who claims to be getting the runaround from Corsa. I'm pretty close to losing my temper and cancelling the order. My excitement for the exhaust is making me impatient for it to get here, but it's also what's keeping me frome telling them to pound sand. Here are the gory details. I ordered this exhaust on 11/29 through AutoAnything.com. I was originally given an anticipated ship date of 12/9-12/15. I got a shipping confirmation on 12/15. It was the "shipment information was received...............". My expected arrival date was 12/16. Fast forward to 12/16 and my tracking information still says "shipment information was received.....". Now there is not an anticipated arrival date, but an anticipated ship date of 12/15. What this tells me is that the package never actually shipped. I called autoanything at about 4:15 Friday afternoon. The person I spoke with was very nice, and told me she'd get to the bottom of this and call me back. I waited 'til about 5:45 and called her back. I told her that I wasn't trying to be a pain, but it was nearing the end of the work week, and I would really like to know what was going on with my order. She said she hadn't received a return call and would get ahold of me before she went home for the evening. She called be back at about 7:45 and told me that the person at the warehouse had went home without calling her and wouldn't be back 'til Monday. She then said she'd figure out what was going on Monday morning and would call me back. She never called back. I called Monday at about 1:15. The person I spoke to said he'd call Corsa, and figure out what is going on. He asked if I wanted to hold or if I wanted him to call me back. Guess what, he never called me back. I finally called back at about 4:30. The person I spoke to this time said the other guy was put on hold at Corsa for 45 minutes before giving up. He then turned it over to Autoanything's purchasing department. He said to give them 24 hours to get in touch with Corsa to figure out what's going on.
  22. Agreed. My seatback element was burned out and did the exact same thing (except my pass side worked great). I've read that it's usually the seatback. It's pretty easy to check. All you have to do is put the seat all the way forward, and at the bottom of the seatback there is a two plastic channels that are locked together. Jam a small screwdriver and seperate the channels. I think I found a $5 off coupon. http://www.partstrain.com/store/?N=0&src=search&Ntt=RB641106&= It was about a 15 minute repair.
  23. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Except for the fuel economy, I think these trucks are very practical. Good luck with the sale and enjoy your Camry.
  24. They are/were a conversion van company. They sold pretty middle of the line vans. The molding is more than likely some form of hydrographics. Something like this. http://www.hydro-dip.com/ Regency probably put leather in it, hydro-dipped some of the trim, replaced the grill, upgraded the tires and wheels and sent it down the road.
  25. This advice doesn't apply to Michigan, because it is not a title holding state. Even though there is a lein, the owner of the vehicle has the title. Your best bet is to meet the buyer at your bank or credit union that the truck is financed through. You should be able to go in, pay off the truck and have the title signed over. If the place you financed the truck through is not local, it will be a little tougher. Like Bad Ass Silvy said, you call for a ten day payoff and send the money in to get the lein released. The tough part there is finding someone to buy the truck that trusts you enough with the money without the lein release.
