hey fellas, new guy here with a question about lowering my truck. I have an awd 2003 Silverado ss that im wanting to drop some. I think the look and stance im after is a 3/4 drop. so heres what im unsure of, I pull a 16 ft trailer with 3-4 atvs on it. I haven't a clue how much the trailer weighs but the 4 wheelers are around 500 lbs apiece. ill attach a picture with the trailer so maybe you can get an idea of how much the trailer weighs?
can I lower this truck and still pull a trailer? the closest riding park we go to is 3 hours away. do I have to have drop shocks? I just bought bilsteins a couple months ago and would like to keep them if possible. my plans of lowering the truck is a-arms in front and shackles in back. is there a better way? from reading the above pinned thread it seems spindles is the proper way to lower the front? im totally open to suggestions, if its even possible that is. ive never lowered a vehicle before so this is all new to me. im mechanically inclined so im not worried about the install I just need to know if its possible and what the best way to do it is.
