  1. not that i've been too busy fighting off potential buyers but i need to update to say it is officially off the market. it is just too good of a vehicle for me right now and i know i would regret letting it go. after 16 months and 10k mi of ownership without a single blip my perception of trucks and GM has certainly changed for the better (except for the brakes which are pathetic). with my highly modified temperamental Audi's i can't afford to unload the only sorted and dependable rig i have - especially one that can tow the Audi's to the closest qualified shop for them some 60 miles away.
  2. we had another change of plans in that I ended up being tow bitch afterall - but with my brother's buddy's Monte SS instead of my brother's Malibu. got in town safely, unloaded, and chilling at the Quality Inn. see you guys tomorrow.
  3. well, it looks like i'll be registering the truck at the gate. at first it was going to be a tow bitch for my brother's big block malibu but after finishing his 6-speed conversion the motor is rapping - feel bad for him...... anywho, add a fat old guy and blue '03 SS to the mix and see you gents next week.
  4. ok, thanks. I'll be sure to stop over one way or another. I had a price up initially but realized it was 'dated' (or just plain wrong....). I updated it to asking $12,500 - hopefully that is a fair price for her.
  5. looks like i will need to do that. i am officially heading down, the only questions are will the truck be riding solo or towing a big block Malibu, and if more in the caravan as well. is there usually an SSS contingent at these things? If you have 2 dudes going it seems cheaper to register a vehicle than to go as purely spectators.
  6. or trade for the aftermarket aluminum ones currently on truck. thanks
  7. well in the end the "soon" was a big lie. it figures that once i decide to sell it everything happens to prevent it. after getting my A4 done my wife's minivan went in the shop for some work and i let her drive the truck for 3 days. of course she ends up getting the passenger side of the truck pinstriped against another car's mirror. i will be picking the truck up next tuesday from the body shop with the pass side fender and cab resprayed (still original panels). if not sold within a month i may be taking it down to Carlisle with my brother for the Chevy event if that helps anyone not close enough to MA to take a look at it. thanks for the patience and sorry for unintentional extended 'tease'.......
  8. thank you on both counts. for some reason i can't seem to edit my original post so i will say that i was thinking of the wrong vehicle with respect to mileage and it actually has 117k - not 108k. cluster all rebuilt and put back in now waiting for the exhaust on my A4 to get finished to officially be able to let her go. wasn't expecting it to drag out this long but it is what it is. i'll look again to find a fair price for her when i know the A4 is coming back.
  9. No longer for sale - thank you. Virtually 100% stock/original with the exception of the aftermarket lower bumper grills and the addition of a custom CheckMate hard fiberglass bed cover and a street scene 3-piece wraparound tailgate spoiler. I'm not an expert on the trucks but it seems to be fully optioned including Bose, On-Star, under seat toolbox, auto CC, and XM satellite radio (with lifetime subscription). Spent its life in SC until last spring when I brought it home to MA where it has sat out this lame winter in the driveway. Looking for $12,500. Despite the thread title the truck is currently available for sale with title in hand. Thanks
