3. Only thing I changed is I have the 22" SSS replica wheels and Bilstein shocks. I did a trip from NC to WY with right about 1300# in the bed. Averaged about 11mpg and pulled straight and was not scary in the least. My wife, (actually her truck) has towed a trailer with all kinds of tools and crafts in it with no issues. It is not nearly as good as my 04 Suburban was at handling the weight, but it can do it properly when loaded correctly and properly maintained. Now that being said, Chevy should have definitely decreased its tow rating on these trucks. It is just science that if you take a weight supporting leaf out of a suspension setup, it will effectively lower the weight carrying capacity of that axle if no other supporting mods were done. 4. I don't really understand the idea of not wanting to put miles on vehicles that were meant to be driven. I'm not saying that this is wrong, only that I don't understand it. Wife drives her 03 SSS as her DD (180K) I drive the 02 DMax (301K) and when the whole family goes out we take the 07 Suburban (203K). Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
5. Damn if I didn't have my DMax I'd consider this sexy beast Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
6. I replaced the purge solenoid over a year ago and haven't had a problem since. I've got "only" about 180k on it. 2003 SSS Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Downeast Johnny

I hear ya. You know the old saying "champagne taste and a beer budget".

I got it too.

9. Hell if you weren't frikkin 7 hours away from me right now I'd see if you could do mine tomorrow.
10. That is a sweet ass looking truck. I like the TBSS wheels on there. Question for you...I seem to be having trouble finding a lowering kit for my 2003...everyone makes one for 2004-06.
11. I'm going back and getting my b-billet out of the way. That will give me a much needed 3 years in the states (unless I go MSG). These back to back deployments are killing me
12. I was probably going to get out, but I just got selected for SSGT, so I may see where that takes me. Down there in LA though, the scene will be great. I need to make it down there sometime. lownslo is down there too, and even though he's talking about selling his truck, he's still thick in the scene. Give him a shout and he'll hook you right up
13.

I have some already, but they are some cheap ones I bought off ebay. They actually held up better than I thought they would since I bout them in like 09. I went with the 4800 because I live in the backwoods of the middle of nowhere, but since changed my mind and waiting for those to blow so I can go to 6k. I will probably get the new ones so I will have them when the others go.
