Those are great machines. Got a few buddies who use them for hunting up here In Alaska and they do real well in the mud/swamps surprisingly. Congrats on the machine, and you got a great price also.

The TBSS sound right, yours is definantly off. If these trucks really were 220 HP to the wheels, they would be an absolute turd to drive. Would be around 16.5-17 sec 1/4 mile trucks

Awww gotcha. I guess being in 3rd, it never let your truck shift into overdrive which helps... also when in 3rd, the torque converted stays unlocked I believe.

The ecoboost will out tow the SS for Sure. They are beasts when towing. Are you talking you ran it in 3rd when on the highway? Not sure how you would have more power in 3rd. My experience is towhaul is overkill and holds gears too long, making it really jumpy around town.

Looks awesome man. Love the setup, that Boat looks great hooked up the the Black SS! I was surprised also by the towing power, I was used to towing with diesels and had low expectations when I first towed with mine due to it being a gasser. Plenty of power, and to my surprise the transmission wasn't hunting at all, it kept in it the power band when needed, and shifted when it Should.

Yeah they are a lot of fun. Being on the water period is whats fun, whether it be lake, river or ocean, love it all.

Ive always been passionate about boating.. grew up raised camping and going up river in jetboats. Heres Mine Its a 22' ThunderJet Jetboat Powered By a Marine Power VVT 6.0 at 400 Horsepower.

I really don't see how you could lose Unless your truck is a turd. It would be close'ish if you were bone stock, but if your tune is worth a damn, it should be a free win
