  1. Very excited to watch the build progress. I have the window sticker and will be sending it shortly. Have fun with it!
  2. Lookin good Randy, glad you are enjoying it!
  3. Sold, thanks Randy! She'll be in your driveway before you know it!!
  4. Sold pending funds, she's going to bruise the boulevards in KC!!
  5. Price drop, $20000 firm. You won't find a better SSS for that price.
  6. Unfortunately, the time has come my friends. I am looking at a promotion/relocation with work, with a family now it makes sense to have to do this. I've gone back and forth on the decision for a while now, but I've probably put <1000 miles on this thing in the last 3 years and its time for someone else to enjoy it. Its time for me to (hopefully) buy a house on the lake and watch my girls grow up. I've owned the truck since it was brand new, all of the modifications and maintenance were done to the highest standard by the factory trained/awarded technicians at our Chevy dealership. The truck has every available option on it for 2004 as I ordered it myself, I have all of the original documentation/paperwork including the window sticker, and front plate bracket (still in the plastic bubble wrap). I've never driven the truck in the winter and hardly in the rain, it has always been stored indoors under a good breathable cover (included). I have EVERY stock part that I took off of the truck in case I/someone ever wanted to put it back to stock which I will include with the truck. Modifications include: Exterior: Carriage Works satin billet grille and street scene bowtie, Husky molded flaps using factory mounting so they could be removed without holes, soft roll-up tonneau cover, Bed-Rug, billet hitch cover, tinted windows, hidden antena modification, and a Ground Force 2/2 lowering kit. Performance: Dynatech LT's/High flow cats, TR55's with MSD wires, Corsa Sport Cat-back, Volant CAI, Trans-Go HD2-C shift kit with FLT Aluminum Accumulator pistons, Vette servo's and C5 deep transmission pan, SLP thermostat and tuning by Charlie Wheatley. I might be missing a few things, honestly I put a lot of time and effort to modify this truck tastefully and I simply can not remember everything. I built the truck to be a N/A boulevard bruser and it has never disappointed me once, although it has disappointed a few Mustangs and Camaros. I will post a link to my garage so you can take a look at anything that I may have missed. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/garage/vehicle/20-chevrolet-silverado-ss/?tab=main As the truck sits it has 26754 miles on it, and I doubt that I'll be driving it much more as I just don't have the time. When I got it out of storage this spring, I put 4 new OEM spec Goodyear's on the truck and had it serviced with Mobil 1 (its only ever had Mobil from day 1). The interior/exterior are a 9/10, the exterior has a few minor blemishes but it is to be expected with a 10 year old black truck. I am a complete freak about minor things, so the ultimate buyer might not even notice the small things that I do. One point of mention, the 3M tape holding the lower cladding on the passenger side door lost its "sticky-ness" this spring when I got it out, causing the cladding to come lose and jam into the lower fender cladding when I unknowingly opened the door so there is a little bit of a mark/crease on the edge of the lower door cladding. Again, it drives me absolutely insane, but it is hardly noticeable. I did notice the brakes are starting to get a little spongey, the truck did pass NYS inspection so it could be that the truck just needs to be driven to knock the build-up off. Overall, the truck looks great, I'll share some random pictures from over the last few years (I'm not a professional photographer LOL)....the truck looks the same/as good today as it did then. If you are a serious buyer please PM me and I will reply with my phone number so we can talk. I am asking $24,000, and would be willing to entertain reasonable offers. The truck is located in Northern New York State (north of Syracuse). Thanks, Teddy Before Lowering:
  7. Yeah man, I've been lurking the last year or so. How ya been, good? Hope so... I post here and there, but man this place has changed. The bickering in this post is evidence of that, we all used to get along and every post was always positive and friendly. Now all I read is members attacking and bashing each other, pretty sad guys.
  8. Wow 50 miles, I think I'd put a cover on it and stuff it away in the garage, that's awesome! Mines an 04, I'm a little under 26K. I had it since new 4/04, it's hard to believe that it's almost 10 years old!!
  9. "Get rid of that sissy plated pistol, and get yourself a Glock" baby. I have a compact and two sub-compacts, and I carry and shoot them more than any other in my safe. What I like about them is interchangeability, buy a G23 compact (.40SW), buy a conversion barrel to shoot 9mm or .357GAP, a mag swap, 5 minutes and boom you are plinking away jack!!
  10. Unfortunately whether you were a dealer for 50+ years or are a current customer, you are just a number to GM.....a number on their bottom line. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad GM is doing better these days but in some ways I'm still bitter. O well, life goes on. I'll always have a soft spot for Chevys, it's hard not to, they were always the only vehicle I've ever known. I'll take my SSS to the grave and if you asked me what would be in my dream collection, 95% GM. After we got out of the business, my wife traded the TBSS for a Murano (I know) but we liked it, no complaints. When the new Ford Explorers came out, my wife had to have one! If you asked me 10 years ago if I'd ever own a Ford, I'd probably have told you where to stick it! Anyway, I still have family that owns a GM Dealership, my dad is actually working there now, sales manager. I had Dad start looking for one about a year after they came out. One day he called, I found one!! 2012 Limited 7K miles, top package with every single option, diamond white....exactly what my wife wanted so I bought it for her and traded the Nissan. Long story short, we love the vehicle, man the technology is awesome and we are continually impressed with the vehicle. One problem.... After we put about 2-3K on the vehicle, we were headed on vacation, I was driving on the hwy and as we approached our exit I noticed the brakes were pulsating like a MF. I couldn't understand what the problem was, few miles on the vehicle, my wife drives like a little old lady, and the previous owners were in their 60s and the hitch cover had never even been off the back?!? At about the same time I started lurking on the explorerforum, so I threw up a post explaining what was going on, asking if this was an issue, TSB's etc. soon thereafter a rep for Ford Customer Care PMd me for more info, I told him the history, I was the second owner, etc. By the time we returned from vacation, he had opened a claim, set me an appointment to diagnose the problem with a Ford dealer close to me, etc. I was blown away! They ended up putting 4 new rotors and pads on the vehicle without a question asked, OH and they performed a free oil change and tire rotation and washed the Explorer! We were GM dealers, and I COULD NOT believe how well they took care of us at the dealership side and the corporate side. When I hear your story Shaun, it's truly a shame that GM continues to believe that poor customer service is satisfactory. I hope something is done to make it right for you. If nothing else, I shared my story to show that there are still others in the industry willing to go the extra mile. I was so blown away with our Ford experience, I ditched my GMC Canyon DD for a Ford myself. Cheers. Teddy
  11. Does anything know how I can decode a Subaru vin to find the original MSRP? Looking at a used 2012 WRX hatch for my new DD, I've looked at in on the internet but its too far away from me to go in person. It looks to me to be the base model with a few accessories, and unless I'm missing something the dealer is asking way over MSRP (even though it has 400 miles on it). The dealer won't tell me which model it is (base I believe) and what it was new MSRP. I wouldnt bother with this if it wasn't the exact one I wanted and man these things are hard to find. Plus I'd just like to throw it in his face! I have the vin, I've tried looking but no luck. Someone here must be an expert on this!! Thanks in advance, Teddy
  12. Love it, sharp car! Congrats
  13. Still kicking around, not on as much as I'd like. Busy with work and our 1 year old daughter. Still have the SSS 26K on it. Cheers friends, going to try to get on here more often! -Teddy

  17. Those twin turbines are pretty sweet aren't they! There is one that runs up here in the 1000 islands on the Poker Runs of America tour that is absolutely bad ass! The guy is from Canada, this is his second twin turbine cat and we heard about $1.5 mil. 50' Outerlimits with twin 1850 turbines! Here it is.... My link I'm sure he's on YouTube too, lucky old bastard
  18. Sick Tahoe for sure, I love all of it! Not hatin' at all cause I know you have some $ in this thing, but your price seems pretty steep for a 2WD LS Tahoe with a 4.8L, IMO.
