Got an 03 sss has a 2800 stall, performabuilt stage 3 trans, blackbear tune, I'm fixing to buy a tvs 2300 and trying to decide which heads to buy. Not sure if I want to go with l92's or go with some trick flow 235's, plan on getting a 408 later but going to push the stock bottom end till it fails. Thanks

More than likely you have a bad stepper motor in the gauge cluster,

not sure on the door panels and such but the carpet and seats are pewter, and the headliner is shale, just ordered all new stuff for my truck,best thing is to give the dealership your vin and they will give you the correct part number

I thought mine was leaking also but it turned out to be a cracked pump letting the water leak out. I bought an etra one and ended up not using it.

Premium is recommended, as far as running lower octane and running octane booster your looking at the same amount of money if not more to run mid grade and then octane booster,

went to my local dealership to get som gm dextron vi and they said they only had it in bulk, they told me that mobil 1 made it, not sure but that's what they said and when I checked at advanced auto it was 8.99 a quart.

Well, Ordered my new trans today, went with a performabuilt level 3 with 2600-2800 10.5 billet converter, also backed by a 2 year warranty.

Coming home from fishing today and my trans quit pulling , put it in second to get home (took a while), not much of a trans guru but I would assume the clutches are shot. Was planning on building a supercharged 408 for the truck and then getting a built trans, but looks like I'm gonna need a trans first, Couple of questions, been looking around and think I narrowed it down to LFT, performabuilt, and maybe monster trans, will the fully built 4L60E hold up to the torque the 408 will put out, Next question, Possibly looking at a stall, but would it affect me towing my boat,(21 ' bass boat), Also this truck is a daily driver, any suggestions, thanks

I currently have an 03 ss, just got it so as far as I know all it has done to it is a blackbear tune, muffler and k&N air filter, I've owned a lightning and I can tell you that stock for stock the lightning will eat ss up, my buddy had an ss while I owned my lightning, when we ran he pulled me out the hole a couple truck lengths due to me spinning tires, once it hooked up just left him, when I let off at 145 mph he was way back there, so I don't believe you smoked one from 80 mph and you are almost stock, bone stock they run mid to high 13's, and with a tune and pulley change real low 13's
