  1. it says in the manual not to tow 5th wheels or goose necks because of the 6ft bed. It saves their butt when some one dont know how to drive or dont have a sliding hitch and crushes the back of the cab.
  2. Yeah the littl wistle thingy sure can make some boost. I have already seen it hit 25psi
  3. it rides so good, I was driving to work yesterday morning and cought my self doing 95 and the truck was smooth and the diesel just loves high speed.
  4. good looking truck, Glad the motor is running strong. it was a great one in my ss
  5. Well I just got this tuesday nite as my work truck. Its a 2006 F250 Lariat Diesel. It has every optiong but the kitchen sink. ALL I plan on just getting for it is some large floormats and a small power programer. I have a alumm tool box I will be putting in it here in a week or two. The Exterior Wheels are 17" forged alum. has the off road suspension with rancho shocks. Interior The leather is Top Quality along with the wood grain and my favorite With the SS
  6. I have shipped trannys Fed Ex Freight. Took it right to the terminal and they unloaded out of the truck. it costs about 100 bucks too.
  7. The ss only has a upgraded 1/2 ton tranny.
  8. Ok i did some research on this, the standard truck tire P and LT 265/75/R16 has a rating of around 2601@35psi. the Eagle LS 275/55/R20 has a load rating of 2403@44psi. Not a real big difference It really depends how far and how many times are you going to be pulling the trailer? few times a week? Twice a year? If you were to pull this 5th wheel alot i would consider getting LT265/75/R16 with a load rating of at least E. with Air Bags for extra support for the suspension. But if you just plan on doing it a few times the stock tires will work but I would get some more support for the suspension.
  9. I have seen a few SS with 5th wheels in them. i would think they have the same rating as a 1/2 ton, i would suggest getting air bags for extra help on the rear.
  10. Propane all the way for me. I have a little propane grill that i take around with me because i travel so much. its cheap and very easy and its clean
  11. I havn't seen a burban in person yet but from the pics they look good. Just yesterday I tried to get a 3/4 ton as a work truck but couldn't get one so i am getting a 06 superduty. I would get rid of the g35 imo. but I have never been a car fan unless its a muscle car
  12. Thats pretty sweet! Have you considered intercooling. It would be interesting to look at the log of your run to see IAT's. Do you think the 90mm TB can used on a truck intake would yield any gains. Im trying to decide what to do with my KB next. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The 90mm wont fit on the truck intake. You will have to change intakes to either a aftermarket intake or a ssr intake.

Heading back to the track tonite.
  15. I have missed the past two shows. But I can attest that those waters are very rough. I went halibut fishing out of Homer Alaksa and the seas were between 6 and 10ft and that was some rough water. I couldn't imagine 30ft seas.
  16. You should talk. i am not a fan of lowered trucks so its staying the stock height. I dont like vibrations either
  17. i believe there is a cam swap gasket kit that gm has. Most gaskests are reuseable but the crank bolt isn't. Since you are goingt to have the crank pulley off I would pin the crank. I went with comps 7.4 rods from thunder. They are hardened stock replacements.
  18. You think your funny dont ya. I do know one thing it sucks doing the tranny in a drive way.
  19. I have the asm and with a coating they are starting to rust some, Mine were in the $750 range.
  20. not a fan of it, i guess it all depends on what going on under the hood
  21. that sucks, i would have got the parents involved and made some one pay. you can have the gun fingerprinted. parents now of days dont make thier kids show respect. oh and becareful you'll shoot your eye out.
  22. as of right now sale is pending
  23. i did these in the parking lot too. i could only do one axle at a time
