  1. I would think the 4th would be difficult for most people to get together given the holiday, maybe we should plan for the 11th?
  2. Already have plans this weekend, how about doing one in July too though, either the 4th or the 11th both look good.
  3. The name MB Quart did get bought and farmed out to Chinese made junk, some of their guys started a new company and are making pretty much the same stuff as old quart.
  4. I've been using Diamond for a long time, still have a pair of amps and also a 10 year old M5 sub that still works great, I like their stuff a lot. I have a new Clarion head unit that seems to be quite a bit better than the older Clarion I was used to, always thought of it as a cheap brand but it seems that is no longer true. MB Quarts higher ups all left the company and started German Maestro a year or two ago, gave them a try once the Wisconsin weather destroyed my old Diamond Hex component set, they are making some very nice stuff as well.
  5. I'm sure someone has cut a chuck of board to attach to the back wall of their cab to mount amps and such, anyone happen to have the dimensions that would fit back there easily, was going to just use 1/2" plywood or mdf and cover it with some black fabric I have, would save me the trouble of removing my seat an extra time. The answer turned out to be 11" tall, 58" long if anyone else was interested. 1/2" or 3/4" both works fine for thickness.
  6. The aftermarket steering control harness is only about 50 bucks, just bought one for my install two days ago. http://www.amazon.com/PAC-SWI-JACK-Steering-Interface-Blaupunkt/dp/B000AXU764
  7. Not sure if the ones that came on my are the style your thinking, but I attached a pic so you can see them. The bottom one has some condensation in it, that's why it looks a bit off.
  8. It's a 300 mi/5 hour drive, but I might look into making the trip down, hopefully all the stuff I want to get done with the truck will be ready in time.
  9. Was finally able to purchase an SS this last week, I have wanted one from the early '90s since I was a kid and was glad to see that they starting producing them in 2003 again. I have driven Chevrolet trucks all my life, and bought a 2004 Black SS with about 70k on it. It came with some mods already which is nice since I don't have to pay for them now. Need to replace the lower headlights though since one is cracked and the other fogs up when it gets wet. It already has an AirRaid CAI, exhaust but I can't find a brand anywhere aside from the tips reading Silverline, window tint which looks to be 15-20%, and aftermarket headlights. Only things I have had time to do is swap the parts for the antenna delete and the black badge from my other truck. Hoping to find someone to paint the rest of the front black and get the tails smoked somewhat soon, and get the same guy that managed to wake up my 4.3 in my 2003 Silverado to come tune it. This sites been a wealth of information so far, so thanks to everyone that has been contributing here for so long already. I do have one picture at the moment from before I swapped the antenna and emblem over, hoping to have more soon after the windshield is replaced and the bed liner goes in.
