italianguy11473 replied to italianguy11473's topic in Suspension & Brakes
I actually replaced that fluid after my second set of bearings...it looked good...replacing the front diff does not sound cheap -
Hey guys.... Im getting that noise a bad bearing makes but ive replaced both bearings twice...The noise is really loud on the highway and I can feel vibrations in my steering wheel even just going straight...I cant turn the radio up anymore to drown the noise out...What could it be???

I have it on mine...Wouldnt put any other exhaust on it...A nice deep growl...Always getting compliments on the sound -
I actually had the bearing kit replaced yesterday after finding that the wheel was about to fall off lol... This obviously fixed the ABS light problem. My original concern was just the ABS sensor was bad as this happened a couple times on my '06 Grand Prix which has the same set up as the Silverados I didnt want to have to replace the whole kit at $400 - $500 for just a sensor. Thanks guys for alll your help! ! !

Yea when I Are you talking the whole bearing kit or just the sensor itself? I was told by the dealer that the sensor and bearing are all 1 package turn my steering wheel to the left as in going through a drive thru, my window would be open and i can hear noises like the rubber bushings rubbing against each other and not so much clunking but crackling....so...I dont know....its the front driver's side which was already replaced almost 2 years ago. That was just for the noise. the ABS light didnt come on then

italianguy11473 replied to italianguy11473's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Yeah mine is the same way...Also...these aftermarket parts arent made like the original parts...I guess the rotor was just slightly larger than the original...Thanks for the help though -

That's what he's looking at as I type this -
Hey guys....I have 2004 AWD...just replaced back brakes and rotors....I start driving the truck and a loud scraping noise is coming from the left rear wheel...my mechanic seems to think its a loose rear axle as there was alot of play in both rear wheels...Any suggestions????

Was that steering shaft a recall for you? I have the same year SSS as you and wanted to get it taken care of if it is a recall because I wasnt notified as Im not the original owner
