  1. I live in a small town in northern ontario, there is no waiting in traffic, and it isnt warm out for many days each year (over 70degrees) so cooling isnt and issue...... The irratating always running mechanical fan is though, takes a really long time to warm up when it is -15f and i do alot of hiway driving and i dont need that fan running all the time! From what i have read the stock 5.3l silverado fan would work the best for me, quiet, no need to replace alternator low cost etc. I need to know a few things. 1. what year and models have fans that will work with my 03 Silverado SS 2. What else do i need to make this work other than the fans, shroud and wiring harness from the 5.3 3.do i need a custom tune to get the fan to work properly with the truck Thanks guys gonna get this done this winter!
  2. I can get my exhaust guy to cut em out, and weld in a piece of pipe for $40 but will it pass emissions test, and a custom tune would be necessary?
  3. Will the 22 inch 2.5 di/do fit right into where the stock muffler was? i thought to pipe as 2.75" dia on our trucks......? I think i want one..... how is the drone inside the SS for anyone with the 22" di/do?
  4. So the flowmonster will wake up the truck some? questions.... are you referring to a 2 into 2 flowmonster that will (with some modifications work with the stock piping setup? also to anyone that has a flowmonster with that configuration, is it really loud inside the cab resonance/ drone wise if a guy is taking it easy on the throttle? I do ALOT of highway driving and cant afford to have my damn truck drive me nuts on the 2 hour drive to work at 5 am........... Thanks!
  5. The bilsteins look great, increase in handling would be great but not if its going to beat the heck out of me. Has anyone installed the Bilsteins? If so how rough do they ride as a daily driver?
  6. I have a couple blown shocks on my SS i want to go to Bilstein all around, does anyone know a good supplier to ordr form in canada, if not a good one in the US. Is there a street preformance shock available for the SS or do you have to go with the heavy duty shock for the Silv 1500?
  7. Hey, all you chevy guys out there...... Picked up my shiny red (new to me) Silverado SS a few months ago, sure liking the new truck few little snags and a long long to do list! Talk to you all later. Jordan Real men have Bowties.........
  8. Mine was doing the same thing too, mostly when it is cold out..... but it went away on its own, if you can bear it for a while hopefully it will take care of it's self!
