  1. Finally got my new hood installed. Had it painted by my dad and his friend. It took awhile as it was done near the memorial weekend. Its a ram air style cowl hood. Here it is. Now I'm thinking about lifting the front end up about 2 or 3 inches with torsion keys. Are torsion keys the best/cheapest way to do it? Would I have to get longer shocks? Will lifting it make the suspension harsher/rougher? Please help me by suggesting websites or pics of people that have done the same thing.

    2002 Silverado Z71

02 Silverado Z71 4x4. 5.3 V8. Bought it with 103,000 miles, now has around 107,000. Got a K&N chrome intake kit. Also have a ram air cowl hood that needs to be painted.
  3. Very cool. I always thought about getting glo-guages but can't seem to find any for less than $100-maybe I'm too cheap right now, who knows.
  4. OUUUUUUCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Wonder if he lost any teeth on those dumbells.
  5. I just got my Ram Air Cowl Hood in for my 02 Z71. I gotta find a place to have it painted. Once I have it installed I'll try and upload pics of it. You can find pics of cowl hoods/ram air hoods/or any other hood on a vehicle by looking through images in google. It also depends on how much money you are willing to spend. This is the one that I ordered and it came in yesterday. It was on sale at stylintrucks.com, plus they don't charge a lot on shipping if you do a commercial address. Hope this helps.
  6. Was headed home on wackerly in midland and saw this guy riding what I think is a small dirtbike on the sidewalk. http://s955.photobucket.com/albums/ae32/jason99camaro/?action=view&current=007-3.flv
  7. I'm sure we've all seen cars/trucks with wheels so big that they look stupid or just aren't right. I came across this video of a car with 40 inch rims! What the heck is wrong with these people? I can see maybe putting 20-24 inch rims on a car but this is just wrong. Click on the link below. let me know what ya think.
  8. It definitely stands out and looks different but I wouldn't do it.
  9. Don't know if this is the appropriate place for this. I came across this cool, unique X-Ray window graphic for the back window of your truck while looking at stuff. What do you think? Would you do it? I think it's kind of cool. If the picture below isn't big enough you can click this http://www.stylintru...rtfamilyid=3289
  10. I do like to go mudding. I want to try and make mine look powerful and stylish but still kinda stock-I don't plan to get rims or big tires anytime soon. Like I mentioned b4 I ordered a ram air cowl hood that should be in within another week(shipping company screwed my order up-ARGHHH!). I got a skull hitch cover that has eyes that light up when you brake, have to get pics up soon but I'm kinda waiting til after my hood comes in.
  11. Not bad. I'd like to try doing this photoshop thing myself. Do you have to buy a program to do it or is it something you download? I've got some ideas I'd like to try on my own ride and it never hurts to have fun now and then. So do I have to purchase software to do it or what?
  12. I thought about doing that, my cousin has a sierra of the same model with matching visors-they look pretty good. I am also open to any ideas as to how to make it look cooler/shinier/badder by adding any parts/accessories. I can't seem to find any similar trucks that are white in the 99-02 years extended cabs with any chrome. Any ideas are helpful. I did order a ram air cowl hood that should be in sometime next week. I'm not looking to spend $1,000s but a hundred here and there is alright with me.
  13. Was wondering if someone would please do a photoshop on my white 2002 silverado. I am curious to see what it would look like with chrome vent visors/window louvers, stainless bug guard, if possible also the same things again but in black. Any efforts would be appreciated. I know some say that black is better looking than stainless for bug guard and vent visors but everyone has their own opinion. Thanks in advance.
  14. I installed a K&N series 77 intake kit on my 2002 silverado. I had a 20% off code from jcwhitney.com so I paid less than retail. Pics below. Looks much better in person. Sounds better and picks up more.
  15. As far as the price I got a pretty good deal. Price on truck was 11,700 before taxes/fees/etc. I came across a 2wd silverado in midland that was 11,000 and a 2000 4x4 stepside gmc extended cab for 9,000 with 125,000 miles so it worked out pretty good.
