  1. I just delt with the 449 code. Evap Canaster malfunction, very simular to the 446 code. The evap canaster/valve on my 07 VMAX is right in front of the gas tank on a small bracket bolted to the frame. Had it off in about 5 min. easy to get to. The dealer wanted 160 bucks for the modified evap can that relocates it. Did a little search and the direct replacement is only 28 bucks. Put it on, cleared the code and no problems scence. 30 bucks and 15 min and its fixed.
  2. Soon as it stops raining in NC I'll take a few pic's of my bed cover. One of the best things ever added to my truck!!!
  3. Hey guys anyone running the SLP under drive pulley? Or any underdone pull kits. I see guys on here selling theres, so are they worth the $$, or are you better off spending the cash in other places for performance gains?
  4. Thanks guys, I'll get some pics up to day but I think everyone is right. The side cladding is what keeps everything looking even. Since I have a four door that's not an option. May Just have to live with it.
  5. Hey guys, I have an 07 classic V-Max i just put the front and rear SS bumper covers on. The front looks great but the rear seems to hang lower then the rear body panel. I looked at some pics on here and seems the SSs run even with the lower body panel. Any Ideas or adjustments? I'll try and get some pics posted tomorrow.
  6. Thanks for the offer!! I'm trying to get the chrome SSs wheels.
  7. Hey guys, I need to pick-up a set of SSs wheels. Have looked at replacement wheels )aftermarket), but dang all the web-sites have such pore ratings and reviews. Anyone out there have a line on a good place to get a set, or a member that has a set for sale??
  8. Hey guys. I have an 07 V-Max classic 4 door. The rear speakers I have found in the past few days have stop working. Can any of you stereo/electronic guys give me a direction to start looking for the problem? It is an all factory BOSE system.
  9. Great write up! I do have a question maybe someone can answer. I have an 07 with drum breaks on the rear. Any info how to convert the drum to disk while up-grading at the same time?? Any info would be great!!
  10. Hey guys quick question. 07 classic V-Max, will they work? Is a V-max stock exhaust diff then an SSs?
  11. Hey guys, I have on 07 classic V-Max with rear drum breaks. I would like to put disk breaks on the rear and would like some info if I can get stock GM parts to do the conversion or should I/do I need to go aftermarket? Has anyone done this? Any trick or tips? Any help would be great!
  12. I'd like to chime in. I'm building a 67SS chevelle with an LQ4 engine. I'm fallowing a buddy with a 65 elcamino with the same set-up. Basically we are using a stock LQ4 bottom end with L92 heads from GM, at $1000, and an L76 intake that comes with fuel rails and injectors from GM at $800. Add a good cam, good tune, and some of the things you alrady listed. The elcamino is 430 RWH and it's basically a stock engine. Not sure if your year is a LQ4 or LQ9 engine but the LQ9 have higher compression and may have piston to valve clearance issues.
  13. Thanks guys, yeah its the tow package. Can anyone tell me the diff between the tow and performance package? With the mods i plan it may not make a diff. Plan on putting the 20" chrome SS wheels and the SS bumper cover. Hope to have most everything done by end of summer. That is $$$ is right and the 67 SS doesn't steal alot of it.
  14. I like these STS kits, but has anyone decided to mount the turbo just behind the headers?? Reduce the pipping back to the engine, seems this would be easy enough to do. May even spool up a bit faster. Just an IDEA.
  15. John, the 67SS is a dream car, hope to be Pro Touring in the couple years. Learning what i can about these 6.0 LS engines as my plans are an LQ9 engine / L92 Heads / L76 intake. This would prob be a good set up for our trucks, just not sure of valve clearance with the :92 heads. But hear ya go couple pics of where some of my $ is going.
