  1. What radiator hose is that? Truck looks great.

That's going to look great. It's just what the doctor ordered. I can't wait to see how it runs this spring. How long till your track opens? I still have 3.5 months... You'll beat me to a 10 second pass without a doubt.

You'll have to let me know how those tie rods fit! I would like to upgrade mine as well.
  4. Does it have the 80e input shaft or will the one from the 149 fit?

Wow that looks awesome! The harness on mine looks awful compared to that! I can't wait to hear driving impressions after the head swap! Have you gotten a new tune file yet?

Randy keep in mind running on a stock 17" wheel doesn't make my truck any slower on the street, just faster on the track. Frankly, more than half the time I run on my stock 17's anyway. The truck drives better in every way. It rides better, it stops better, and it feels lighter. I prefer it. If it was my truck, I would have grabbed some really nice looking 18's with a sporty tire, but to each their own. Eventually I'll do the same, but a set up that is made to look "racey" doesn't have the same appeal on a Denali IMO. I respect what your'e doing for sure! Also, lets not forget I have a weight disadvantage from the start being a crew cab.

Post 318 in my Performancetrucks.net build thread : http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/projects-gallery-189/vortec350ss-2005-sierra-denali-build-boost-515983/ We'll see what happens. Randy and I have similar, yet very different builds going. Cathedral vs Rectangle, Front drive vs Jackshaft, Extended cab vs Crew cab.

Randy are you still running your plugs at a .028 gap? You don't run into any issues with them blowing out the spark? It feels like a bog at WOT. I would think you need to tighten them up a little. My motor goes in this weekend... just sayin.
  15. I'd love to see an update here... mine will be completed soon.

I'm surprised to see you ditch the corsa. I would have loved to see you go to a single 4" set up, but I understand the difficulty. The more you pulley down the more of a restriction this exhaust will be. Just as an FYI guys running a combo like yours with a 3.0 pulley up top and an OD balancer with a 3" cat back were seeing 10PSI of back-pressure in their exhaust!!! That's enough to kill some serious power... The dual 2.5 is better than a single 3, but still not 'better enough' IMO.

The 2.8 pulley should get you damn near 10's.
  18. I have been in the planning stages of a VERY similar build. Even down to the cam I had spec'd for myself... One thing worth noting... The cog OD is actually 20% overdriven. I mention that in case you were targeting a certain blower RPM with your shift points. Are there any updates? Good luck!

I may have mis spoke randy... I think I run the K081088 and I thought it was a 108. I would try to identify exactly where the aluminum is coming from. I dont think you would have alum shavings on there without having metal on metal contact. I use a Gates laser alignment tool and it worked well for me..

I run a 108 I believe. What brand belt do you run? Do you have an alignment tool? The 8 rib system can be very picky about its belt alignment and it will be noisy if its not pretty spot on. Pay very close attention to the PS and alternator. You may also need to shim your blower pulley out. I had to... a lot. I was surprised.

The throttle body looks good! It amazes me they are so inconsistent! I need to get my hands on one.

What a pain in the ass. Do you have the X link set up properly? I know with mine (its older) I had to cut a wire to make it work with the LS2 style. This is now your second one, right?

Limit straps will be your friend if you dont have them already. My truck bakes them on the street as you can imagine...

Randy you can also run 1/8 mile and let out at 100 MPH or so. Coast from there on, or hit the brakes lightly to make sure you run slower than 11.49. Get your 1/8 mile time dialed in and then give it one run for all the money once you feel comfortable it will run what you want and the launch is hard as hell. That's what I am going to have to do going forward too.
