  1. Electric heat for 56 a month? I know of people with electric heat backup with a heat pump that costs 120-150 a month in the winter. Not sure of the climate in north washington, but thats pretty good. Think itd pay itself off before 20 yrs if he was able to use the spring water because over 50% of the cost for geothermal is drilling the wells. I just dont know if you can use 70 degree water, not sure if thats too warm. Wouldnt think so, but id deff look into a free estimate. And look into the tax rebates, because with geothermal, you can get 30% back on entire cost, no cap. Also, the people i knew of, were heating and cooling their house for 15-30 bucks a month
  2. Ive been doing hvac for about 5 yrs. The most expensove part of geothermal is the wells. So if your spring water will work, should be cheaper. Im sure theres A few companies who will give you a free estimate. As for payback, pver fuel oil it should be pretty quick. Also, the govt had (and probably still has) a 30% tax rebate on geothermal installs. Thats huge if youre dropping 15k. And if it takes you 10 yrs to pay itself off, a typical life of a unit (assuming you get a good brand) is 15-20 yrs. Then after that you'll be banking. Plus when that system needs replaced, youre new install cost will be lower because all of the other hard work will be done. Id also look into having you hot water tank tied into the system.
  3. Being from wv, thats a little offensive. I say a little because there are some strange people in the southern part of the state. Regardless, nice joke.
  4. I think i just saw your truck. Driving thru south point today around 1:45, saw a really nice blue ss turning onto us52.

If it was you, nice truck.

  5. Its the plug flipping. Ddm's polarity is backward from gm, and the ballasts are polarity sensitive.
  6. Havent yet. Its a random problem, i just pull the fuse. Youll need a new ecm module, about 100 for the part
  7. Probably the ecm Board on the motor. Mine did the same. It stops when in dry weather, but when its raining/wet out, they run non stop
  8. are those obx headers actually lt's? very interested in getting those soon.
  9. Under the glove box, take off the black plastic cover (3 bolts). Then youll see on the right two screws holding the resistor assemvly in place. It has a plug and two wire going to the blower
  10. Ok, thats kinda what i thought. And no, i bought advance auto junk. I think its bmd brand or something
  11. Well, HVAC blower hasn't worked for a month or so. Hadn't been a problem until our first frost this morning. Dug into the dash, found the blower's resistor housing and plug melted. $130 later, fan is working EXCEPT in high speed. It'll work 1-4 just fine (pulling 0.3 amps FYI) but when I put it to 5, the resistor housing clicks and nothing happens. Is the blower bad? I don't wanna burn up another resistor thing, well, i more so dont want to shell out another $130.
  12. Haha, thanks guys. I posted this more of a how to than an ad for services. I don't know if you'll wanna pay for the simple fact i didnt enjoy doing this.
  13. So, instead of putting LED 3157 bulbs in, I went a different route....with the help of 80 5mm led's So I started by cutting the stock tails, basically its a dome shape, I just cut it in half. Then I cut a baseplate to mount the led's to, i.e. 1/8" plexi. I drilled several holes in the plexi in a grid form Then I painted the plexi plates with chrome paint for reflective purposes Basically, I didnt get much more pics, and its night now, and the leds dont turn up to well at night with the iphone. the pattern is basically (imagination and knowledge of brake light necessary) blue = running red = brake yellow = turn green = backup I)))))))))) I 0 0 0 ))) I 0 0 0 0 ))) I 0 0 0 0 ))) I 0 0 0 ))) I)))))))))) I))))))))) I 0 0 0 )))) I 0 0 0 0 )))) I 0 0 0 )))) I))))))))))))))) I))))))))))))))) I 0 0 0 0 )))) I 0 0 0 0 )))) I 0 0 0 0 )))) I 0 0 0 0)))) I))))))))))) Heres a couple night shots Next is to tint them (not blacked out, just a slight tint) Then, not too far, front turn signal true led
  14. Ddm is a great deal plus lifetime warranty. I have 6000k and theyre white/borderline blue. Go with 8000
  15. Over a weekend camping trip, the bottom bolt that holds the bracket for the caliper on the rear drivers side brake fell out. no advance in the area carries the bolt. lowes doesnt have anything close. any idea? It ruined my rotors and pads, so if anyone is selling a set for cheap, let me know.
