  1. I also agree with SS Silv, Ford has a tank of a diesel. I use to help plow with a F250 diesel and the thing was unstoppable.
  2. I agree, just bag it. I saw pics of an awd ss with a 5/5 drop and it looks amazing.
  3. Yes it is failry pricey, however it is 2nd to none with quality and parts used. I only know of 3-5 members on here that have Billy Boat systems on their SS. I plan on going with a B&B myself (depending on how my migraine situation plays out with my surgeries coming up). I love the stock system and am very happy with it until it needs to be replaced. edit, website of B&B- http://www.bbexhaust.com/truck/silverado/ edit2, sound clips of SS' with B&B systems- http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...p;amp;B+exhaust
  4. If you drive in the snow, keep the SS. It kills any 4x4 in the snow, Ive seen 1/2ton-1 ton trucks off the side of the road during blizzards along with 10 wheelers and my SS will just blow right past them. Even for the track I would keep the SS, only for towing/plowing I would go diesel.
  5. B&B all the way, no question in my opinion that is the way I would go. I would consider Borla 2nd. Have not heard the Bassani on the 6.0 engine.
  6. Nice srt-10 hood I know that is not anywhere close to the SRT-10 Nite Runner I test drove. Probably just dropped the Viper engine into it. Have to love how it says 6 speed tranny and 5 speed tranny. This salesman has to get his shit straight.
  7. Wow, that is all I will say. Glad its a ford not a chevy. With all that bling bling, I wonder if its bulletproof.
  8. Exactly, I use to drive a Geo and I would do that to it in a heartbeat. Thing would be fun as hell, mine stock did did very well in New England snow, I remember rallying it around hills, ditches, everything and my freinds would be scared as hell .
  9. Ive had many chances with older guys wanting to race me with their civics, jettas, etc. I never take the bait (was in a car accident and permantly messed my neck/back and jaw up). It got to the point one time where this guy followed me through 3 towns and I told him show up to the local track and I would go with him; he said no way we have to race now. After following me for the 3 towns I told him to get lost at a stop sign and he then wanted to fight me. So I took off, called my buddy up and he had a baseball bat at his restaurant waiting for the punk. The guy in the civic turned around real quick when I pulled into the parking lot when he saw the bat. By no means do I mean harm, but some people are jackasses. Just be carefull racing , I cant wait for my first day at the track.
  10. My nieghbors had that same Infiniti suv, and they traded it in for a BMW X5. I honestly do not know why, but maybe have your wife test drive the X5 or X3 as a comparison. Hope this helps a little bit, sorry I do not know the reason for their change from Infiniti to BMW.
  11. Could be possible but I have no idea. Ford had a F-150 Patriot Championship Edition a few years back. It was just an appearance package.
  12. I personally like McMahan's rims, I think they look great on a Silver Birch colored SS. It is your truck, so choose what you want. In my choice on rims I like BBS and American Racing Torque Thrust ST rims. Maybe get a few choices of your favorite rims and add a poll. Good luck!
  13. Scumbags, I hope someone chews them up in person. Isn't there some point where it is false advertisement saying it is an Chevy Silverado ISS? Or buyers responsibility? Please let me know elders........
  14. Great vids, reminds me of my winter in 05 when I drove the SS in any snow storm. Now I keep it from all elements. The awd is a beast, I was going by 1/2-1 ton 4x4s, and 10 wheelers and all I can say is awd ftw in the snow. I am glad they did not drop sand, you wont have to worry so much about corrosion.
  15. I love those SSR's, I did not know they weighed that much though. Plus you had 3 people in your car. Nice kill
  16. We need Cadillacbob for some help. Great find Hank!
  17. if you need help, just give a ring Jesse. Just may need a ride one way. -A
  18. I agree, I believe their is an 07 with cloth seats on the site. My reasoning they went with the cloth seats is the leather is too slippery when your hitting on/off ramps at an incredible speed
  19. Love the winter car, I have not driven one but been a passenger and seem like great little cars. Eibach ftw also, had those on a bmw 325iX. Looking great Jeff. Been having surgery so money is scarce for me. I just dropped 4 bills on my ex for her b day only to find out she is doing the run around with others . Should have been smart and bought my battery and do a few little things to the truck. Another reason these trucks are better than women; they will not break your heart. SS till I die. ps. got rid of all the pics I had of her, sorry for dis-obeying thread rules. Ill try to get a pic of the magnum bottle of champagne I am going to start drinking in a minute
  20. I heard that as well, Conan to Fox. I am up past 4am everynite so I have a chance to see all the shows and can only stand the scottish dude (Im an idiot cant remember his name). I like Letterman's top 10 list which I catch, then its onto South Park.
  21. I have had that in my hand at the auto stores a few times, but went with Zymol and Mother's Clay Bar instead for a cheap detail. It was $20-24 out here for the black box (I have a previous thread on here asking if anyone has used the black box). I honestly would put the money towards the recomend waxes like Adams, Zaino I must say the best wax I have used to date is Nu-Finish (amazing durability during winter and great beading protection, not the shiniest wax). I recieved more compliments with the $5 wax (Nu-Finish) than I have with the Zymol ($15-20). By no means is Nu-Finish close to in competition with Zaino or Adams products which I hope to try this summer. Give the black box a try and take some pictures
  22. Illegal to pump your own gas , thats some serious bs. I agree with Hank, open the fuel door and watch them, but first get that viceo! Id love to see it. Last time used full serve, dumb idiot left the fuel door open and took the gas cap. Turned around when I saw the fuel door open in the rearview and the check engine light turned on (went back to the station). Handed him a nice talking to . He offered to wash the rear quarter panel but I said if you cant pump gas properly, you cant wash a panel on a car. While cleaning the panel myself, I saw him get in his car and leave.....I believe he was fired on the spot as the other attendants were watching the whole situation in disbelief. I agree gas is ridiculous, I am driven into Boston weekly in a 3 series to see drs/surgeon. I refuse to see drs. in central MA.
  23. Black felt w/cherry wood is BA, also a great selling point for your house down the line (the cherry wood, maybe even the black felt since its rare). Went with cherry wood throughout our kitchen and makes Emeril's or Giada's kitchen on TV look like they are made from Toys R Us. Just purchase a cover to protect it from dust. Taking it off might be frustrating after awhile, but worth the black felt imo.
  24. Congrats on the Denali, I would still try to find a VIN # that remains. Like Wody stated they are everywhere. I just hope no SS was stolen and sacrificed to create this truck (too many thefts recently). Then again it's possible it was confiscated under different reasons, he could have bought an SS and Denali and then tore the SS apart to create his dream truck. My first mod would be one helluva security system. My buddy had an 05 Denali, very nice fully loaded. I noticed on tight country roads he would lag in corners and then catch up on the straightaways (he has a led foot, Im featherfoot). I got my SS over the Denali b/c of the lower stance. My guess is $6500. Congrats on your truck
  25. If it was professionally removed and you cannot find the VIN anywhere, one thing comes to mind, thiefs. Like stated, these trucks were only ECSB and the true way to tell is by the 8th digit in the VIN, like stated. Still, sounds like you have a nice truck their. Some people wish they did make the SS in a Crew Cab configuration. Another thing comes to mind, I believe the Chevy Avalanche had AWD as an option (I believe the 6.0 vortec was also available for the Avy). Maybe the guy heavily modded the exterior to look like a super sport? Would explain the 6.0, AWD, bose etc. But scratching off the vins I dont understand unless the owner was hiding something. Post some pics up
