  1. I was saving up for a Gaylord Speedstur before I decided to sell my SSS. Bad @$$ bed cover! It will come painted to your OEM color of choice. May be a little over your budget, but way worth it in my opinion. If your going to do it, do it right.
  2. I had a Galaxy for a while, but after having two Samsung products in a row I just wasn't happy with the overall interface. I converted to HTC. First I got the HTC One X, which at the time was the best phone I had ever used. Then I got the HTC One. I still have it and it blew my HTC One X out the water. Seriously, best phone ever. I broke my screen last Friday and the new HTC One M8 became available on Tuesday. My One M8 comes in the mail today. Samsung makes a good phone, they are easily my second choice.
  3. Nice truck! Congratulations. SSSs are really hard to let go. The wheels on you new truck look almost exactly the same as SSS wheels. That tripped me out when I noticed that.
  4. I was just checking out the Jeep website. They are asking for some serious coin. Starting MSRP 63,995!!! They are saying 0-60 in 4.8 and running mid 13s in the quarter on their technical data page. This thing even has launch control. Good looking truck though. They are starting to get that European styling like they put on the Durango.
  5. I ran 285/45R22s on a 3/4 drop. No rub, nice ride, no complaints. Additionally, they are only 0.1" taller than the OEM tire which means minimal speedometer error.
  6. Here is yet another link to another article on this truck. http://www.autoblog.com/2013/11/05/chevy-silverado-cheyenne-headed-production-sema/ They seem pretty optomistic about this thing actually making it to production. But who knows. They are saying it will have the 6.2 liter in it. It is a nasty looking truck. I'm defenitely digging it, but I would prefer an interior with a real center console and the option of a manual transmission.
  7. I ran a 285/45 and it was perfect for the look I was going for. You can check the pics in my gallery for youself. I did the research beforehand as well, the 285/45 was 0.1" taller than the factory tire. You aren't going to get much closer than that. Just my .02.
  8. You must be near/in Hays Kansas then? I have yet to even look at their bikes yet, but I know they make them. The instructions are pretty good on it but they still leave a lot of things for you to figure out, plus there is a little bit of fabrication involved. It's just one of these things though, some parts are easy, some parts are hard, some parts are fun, some are not. This project really appeals to my meticulous nature though, so I am enjoying it thoroughly. It should be a fun flyer. Supposed to cruise around 160 and it's aerobatic capable handling +4, -2 Gs.
  9. I was going for something with a new direction ;) Yeah, it took a lot longer than I thought it would to get rid of. I've heard of some guys spending five years building these things. You buying? I'll come pick you up for sure man. Thanks. I'll do my best to provide some updates.
  10. I'm going to put a Continental IO240 in it. Should cruise around 160 with that engine. I haven't flown in a while, but I used to fly KC-130s in the Marine Corps. I flew a little as a civilian prior to joining the Marines though. I'd love to find some fun flying job to do for a living, but I think I'm just going to keep it as a hobby. Tail draggers just look so much cooler, plus I will get a few extra knots out of it and some added flexibility to bring it into grass strips. I wish I could have kept the SS too, but I needed the spot in the garage and the money.
  11. I've been wanting to share this with you guys for a while now but I have just been extremely busy. Anyway, as many of you know, I sold my SSS recently. I had been really wanting to start a project that would keep me busy for a while. I thought about this for several months and could not find another car, truck, motorcycle, or boat that I could justify replacing the SSS with. Well, I ended up deciding to purchase an airplane to build. It is made by Rans. Mine is the S-16 Shekari. Here are some links to some like it. http://www.rans.com/Completions_16.htm https://www.google.com/search?q=rans+s-16+shekari&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=xRFDUrOAFIis9ATe7ICoCw&ved=0CEUQsAQ&biw=1600&bih=1005&dpr=1 It is a kit that someone else started. I have taken it from how he sold it to me, all the way back down to nothing, and now I am comming back forward with it. It was originally being built as a tricycle type gear configuration, but I am converting it to a tail dragger configuration. The first pic is of the trip home with it. The second and third pics are just it in my garage. The fourth pic is with it torn almost all the way down. The fifth pic is how it sits right now. The last pic is an example of what it will look like when I'm done. At the rate I'm going right now, it is probably going to take me around a year and a half to complete. I will provide updates as I go.
  12. Yeah, it is up all over the country for some reason. Check out this thread. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/83171-craigslist-add-member-truck/
  13. Hmm, this is my truck that I just sold last week. Good catch. What an "A" hole.
  14. I like it. Reminds me of a sub box. Looks great man.
  15. Well thats disappointing. Oh well, we will meet up one of these days.
  16. Thanks man. Are y'all driving to Alexandria? If so, you will pass right by my house. Let me know.
  17. Sold! Sold! Sold! Well, I really didn't think it would take this long to sell my SSS, but it did finally sell today. My Uncle is buying it for one of my younger cousins. He has always liked it. He is a good kid and I know he will appreciate it and take good care of it, so I guess it's a good thing that things have worked out the way they have. I'm going to tell him he has to join the site, so hopefully he will. Anyway, some time over the next week or so I will post up some pics of my new project (my little airplane).
  18. Im in Pensacola FL. Im from Baton Rouge though, but my family lives in Prairieville, Gonzales, Dutchtown, and Sorento. Most of my cousins graduated from EA, and St Amant High, this was before Dutchtown was built though.
  19. Thanks for asking, but no. I actually already have another truck, my dd Colorado and I bought an airplane to build, so pretty much need the space and the cash.
  20. I just lowered my price again to $21,500. It's pretty much my bottom dollar. I really need to move this thing. Somebody jump on it.
  21. Thats actually a really good idea, I would defenitely do that if I was going to bring it back to the sale lot. Thanks. And thanks again to everyone else helping me vent.
  22. I appreciate everyone's efforts to console me. I have cooled off a bit since yesterday. I ended up going to the dealership because I wanted to get this thing turned around quick and they had everything in stock. That's also why I was expecting everything to be so expensive. Like I said before, the truck is on the market and I really wanted to get it back up in a day in case somebody wanted to come look at it or drive it. Lucky for me, I have done business with this dealership before and they have me flagged as a "good guy" in their system, so they gave me a "good guy" discount. I ended up saving $70. Anyway, I replaced the harnesses yesterday and I will put the lights in today, so everything is fine now. Thanks again everybody.
