  1. Thanks, the brake setup is still working great and the caliper paint is still holding up as well along with 3 out of 4 decals. One of my rear calipers failed earlier this week and I had to replace it, so I lost the caliper decal. The decals I got where from idahoBLKss.
  2. Looks like a nice setup! Will be interested in seeing how it turns out, make sure to post videos after the install is complete! Not sure that I have seen a SS with a Edelbrock E-Force on it yet.
  3. Did you replace the entire regulator and motor assembly or just the regulator? It might be that your motor is worn out if its original. I replaced the entire assembly on my truck on both sides with a ACdelco replacement assemblys and they work perfectly now.
  4. The L92 pump should work just fine as long as you don't mind the outlet pipe having a bit of a different angle/ length. Good luck getting it fixed!
  5. Ya take a pic of the option codes listed in your glove box that will tell us what the original paint code was. In your year of SS they only made them in Victory Red, Silver Birch Metallic, and Onyx Black.
  6. Welcome to the site! Truck looks good, looks like its been repainted a custom color did you have that done to? Must be a rare sight to see a full size chevy truck where you are at.
  7. Pretty much everything Brandon said^^ It also gets rid of the annoying roar of the clutch fan when your truck is cold, but I'm one to talk I still have the clutch fan... LOL
  8. Usually it is the heater elements in the seat bottoms or backs. Pretty common problem it happened to my truck and I replaced both in the driver seat and now they work fine. You will probably find when you remove them the old ones will have burns where the heater element shorted out which causes the problem...
  9. Sounds good!!! Where's the revving video... LOL
  10. Pretty sure you can accomplish this the same way as the 4 High mod. Just put a diode between the parking light relay and the DRL relays. That way the DRL's come on with the parking lights but not the other way around....
  11. Thats a pretty good deal if you ask me with the Magnacharger on it and everything! In the ad he says it was stolen and he replaced the front end with an 06 and it looks like he must have gotten other parts from an 06 to replace the stolen ones as well. Still looks like a nice buy for someone for sure.
  12. Looks like thats a 1969 Camaro not a 67! LOL That is a pretty crazy idea, like the article says I wonder how long the cranks will stay connected being welded together?
  13. Floor looks good for a 67-72, unless there is a lot of hidden rust... I agree with the atomic orange you will like it for sure, my truck is painted Copperhead and its amazing when the sun hit it (although sun is a rare thing to see in Alaska when it rains all summer) lol. If you ever have any question about 67-72's ask away, I just finished up doing my dad's 1972 K20 Super Cheyenne. Looks like you have a solid start, good luck with the build!
  14. I agree with what everyone else said above^^^. I think the main thing is just make sure it was maintained well, my SS has high mileage and I would not hesitate to buy it again. I've done basic maintenance on it and behinds the common problems with high mileage vehicles it has been great. I've had the replace the transmission, shocks, and I recently replaced some front end components to freshen everything up and had it aligned. The front diffs are also a common wear point, so check for that you might be able to negotiate down the price if you notice whining or leaking seals with the front diff. I've done all the maintenance myself so its not really a big deal to me but if you have to pay a shop to do everything it might get pretty expensive over time....
  15. I've seen that episode before as well, pretty crazy! Good thing we're both in AK, much less chance of that happening up here but you can never be to safe!! Definitely a must way to many of these trucks are stolen.
  16. Welcome to the site! Looks like you found a nice one, congrats!
  17. That sounds like a really strange issue, like canadianVRss said, there should be a gasket between the trans and the transfer case unless it blows out the gasket when it happens?
  18. I think that is pretty normal with most any aftermarket deck, my Alpine forgets everything except the background picture settings when you disconnect power to it as well. The factory Bose radio is the only one I know of that remembers all the presets just loses the time if I remember right.
  19. That's just a decision you will have to make on which one to go with... 2bbl vs 4 bbl your definitely right the 4 bbl would be easier to sell in the future I would assume or use it on another project. I found them on Amazon for less and with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Holley-550-200-Avenger-Throttle-Injection/dp/B004BA9XOO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384245032&sr=8-1&keywords=550-200+holley http://www.amazon.com/Holley-550-200-Avenger-Throttle-Injection/dp/B004BA9XOO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384245032&sr=8-1&keywords=550-200+holley
  20. You could also go with this one, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-550-400/overview/ if you wanted a 4 barrel setup.... But its more money you probably don't need to spend on a plow truck haha, I'm sure the 2 barrel will feed it just fine.
  21. I don't have any experience with carb to efi conversions on 350's but I know what your talking about, my dad wants an EFI setup for his 1970 plow truck he hates trying to get it started up in the winter. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those aftermarket systems, just make sure they have some programmable parameters that you can play around with to make it run right. Not one of those "self learning" systems that have no parameters to setup engine size and such. I think I saw one of those not very programmable setups at a car show last year and it ran like crap from what I remember or maybe the guy didn't set it up right who knows.
