  1. Sounds like it runs good! No dyno video is boring in my opinion, always enjoy seeing numbers being put down. Did you guys pull the front drive shaft for the dyno pull I assume?
  2. Welcome to the site officially! Now we need to see some pictures of your truck, upload them to photobucket and copy the IMG link codes over. Sounds like quite the truck, definitely keep us up to date on with the gains that the torque converter will bring.
  3. It is a bit tedious but much easier to do on a truck like the SS than trying to build a Gen III truck harness into one that will fit in a 57 Chevy haha.
  4. Haha, you never know it might be possible. To clean up the stock harness isn't to bad unless you want the wires cut and extended or altered in some way like I do with the LS swaps that I have done.
  5. Tips? Let just do it, probably could clean up the stock harness pretty well while it is still in the truck in a couple hours.
  6. I'll let you guys know when the Kool Cruise is this year, I will be driving one of my hot rods most likely. I don't think they have posted up a calendar of events yet but it's usually in May.
  7. Sounds like a plan, that will be a fun time!
  8. Nice pics, looking really good Brandon!
  9. I was thinking the same thing, looks like a shifter linkage clip to me.
  10. No those fans look to be from an Impala from a quick search. You want the 05-06 factory truck style fans. The TYC number for the correct ones is 622230. Looks like they are $164 on Amazon, although check Car-part.com in your local area for 05-06 Silverado 1500's with Fans might be a better deal to get some used ones.
  11. I agree with Shawn, I had this problem with a 03 Silverado, added an additional ground to one of the original ground wires for the low beams and we never had the REP mode come on again. Might be worth a try....
  12. The SS is my daily driver, although I try and treat it like its not lol. My other cars are a 1957 Bel Air which I did a frame off restoration on and a 1969 C10. Both are just weekend cruisers during the summer and are stored during the winter, they are also both LS powered. The SS works good as a daily because it gets around great in slippery conditions and is fun to drive or at least I think it is.
  13. Looks like that one has some rust issues on the bed sides from his close up pics? Might want to check it out very carefully.
  14. Doesn't get much more custom than that haha! Makes me like this weather here in Anchorage the more I see the temps up there, its like 31-32 degrees here which is a little too warm there is a storm or something moving through.
  15. The rear brakes are factory dual piston and 13" which is an upgrade from the regular silverados. Most people just stick with the factory SS rear brakes and upgrade the fronts to 13" like in my thread below. You are exactly right you can build a very nice brake system for about $500 with a hydroboost setup and the front upgrade. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/77193-13-front-brake-upgrade/
  16. Looks like post number #15 asked that question and chpspecial answered in post #16. Sounds like a 98 would work but requires some transmission cooler line mods from what he said.
  17. Just wait till you get the bed rug thats when things start getting practical hahaha (that moment when you need to put a used engine block in the back)
  18. That came out looking really good! That tonneau cover looks awesome, wish I had that one on my truck. Also that drop looks great too.
  19. If your looking for a magnacharger kit make sure it is nearly complete and ready to bolt on your truck. You don't want to have to build the supercharger kit as it can get very expensive.
  20. Are those from the retrofit source? Interested to see pics on how that turns out!
  21. Welcome to the site! Looks like you've already got some tasteful mods up your sleeve... Truck looks good!
  22. AWD swap next? With all serious-ness though, its really to bad a T56 to NVG149 adapter isnt more readily available besides fabbing your own, otherwise I would swap a T56 into my truck!
  23. Where the video of doing snow drifting?? Hahaha jk
  24. Looking good! Paint looks really nice, doesn't look like it even has any orange peel at all!
