I have a feeling that is what it is..... I will have to open up and take a look but I was thinking this also

My truck was making that sound then one day it got stuck in the up position. So I purchased a replacement one from Amazon, AC Delco part and it works way better than the stock one ever did.

  2. Well, I called them and asked if they could coat my headers. They said their shaker wasn't big enough for long tubes. They can coat odds and ends, but long tubes are too big... That would have been nice if they could do them. The place that got shut down was in Fairbanks. He did shitty work anyway.

Itll be $550 to ship them to seattle, have them coated with chromex, and shipped back....

$550 isn't to bad I paid the place in Wasilla I think $350 if I recall. Funny they couldn't fit them because mine are definitely a long tube design!

  3. Did advance powder coating in Wasilla get shut down? That's who ceramic coated the headers on my 57 and they came out awesome. That wiring tuck your doing is over the top, really nice work! I'm jealous I pulled the magnacharger off my truck for the moment, so no more boost for me for now.

  4. Wow the wiring clean up is looking awesome! Great job. That is awesome Justin let you cutup a extra harness for your wiring clean up.

Yeah, I'm sure you guys up there have pretty muddy conditions when everything starts to melt.

It may be wet and melty in Fairbanks but down here its like full on spring which is unheard of for this time of year. Usually there is a ton of snow melting in Anchorage making the roads a mess but this year there has been so little snow there isn't much if anything left to melt. So the summer tires and wheels are back on my truck!

  5. Morimoto kits from The Retrofit Source are very well thought of, but they are pretty expensive. About $150 for bulbs and Balasts, but i have been told its worth it.

My current kit in my HD is from Xenon Depot and it has lasted for over 2 years with no problems. It was like $100 for the kit.

I'm running the Morimoto kit, bulbs and balasts from the Retrofit Source and they have been the best money I have spent on HIDs ever.

  6. Yeah. See the packing blankets under the garage door?... I tried chipping a path for it to drain out of the driveway, but it keeps freezing and backing up and flooding into the garage. It's back to being -20 here. So the packing blanket is a giant ice block. But the garage it warm...

    Started my wire tuck today...

    Let the fun... BEGIN!!

Right on! It's always rewarding to clean up the wiring, just pay close attention to the grounds as I'm sure you know. Did you find the nice braided split loom I mentioned or are you going to run the plastic regular stuff?

  7. Lol! Yeah. I might have to make a bracket for it if I get any lip at tech inspection.

Yeah you might have an issue with that firewall mounted setup for tech. Aaron had an issue with his Firebird and tech inspection at the track, he also had the FPR on the firewall. He moved the FPR to the inner fender now. If you ran your truck on the Kool Kruz they don't have tech inspection so you wouldn't have to worry.

Thanks for the kind words on the shop! I'll keep you updated on those projects!

  8. That's so awesome dude... Ill have to drop my truck off this summer and have you do some sweet stuff to it. Like my wire tuck.

You've got so much talent and knowledge in this field. You're shop is going to do awesome. So are you doing mechanical repairs, or restoration? I know you could make millions off your restoration alone.

I can't wait to check it out.

Thanks! It's already busy with some big projects, but it's pretty small, but that's the only way you can make it as a startup. We are doing a bit of both repairs/restorations/everything at the moment! I'll explain more in person as there's some complications with it. We can definitely get your wire tuck done as well!

  9. Okay Matt! Yeah. I'll probably leave at noon tomorrow. Maybe Saturday I can swing by and introduce you to my girlfriend. How's the weather/roads?

Weather is clear at the moment, it's been really warm here and everything melted or what little snow we had. Pretty much looks like spring, the roads where dry and dusty today. Give me a call when you make it down, me and my friend Aaron started a shop down in town so you should swing by and check it out!

  10. More progress soon...May be taking a mini vacation to anchorage this weekend. Gonna order up the rest of the stuff I need for my fuel system tonight. That way by next week hopefully I'll be able to finish my fuel system, start on my wiring, and possibly stab the trans!

Swing by my shop in Anchorage if you make it down.

  11. I hate delays like that with your converter! Crazy they got yours wrong as well, good info to know if I ever need to order one of there converters. That sucks your firewall is so scratched, I've painted a couple of those firewalls, with engine in place and front end removed, it's not ideal but they came out looking good! Keep the updates coming and great work!

  12. Alternator bracket looks great, I've used Dirty Dingo before and had great results as well. If there's ever any clearance issues with the alternator and that bolt, even after you grind it down hopefully they will just "self clearance"

I like those fuel rails polished up, those look great!
