  2. I have a stock 3.4" pulley and an aluminum 3.1" pulley for sale, both for the Magnuson radix 112 s/c. $50 ea. + shipping. If interested, please email me, as this will be the best way to get a hold of me. [email protected] Thanks.
  3. I'd keep looking. I found my LQ9 from a rearended 2005 'lade for $1800 with less than 30K on the clock. It was complete, from oil pan to engine cover and even came with the harness, accessories, etc. During my search, I found a few LQ9s in the $2k ballpark with under 50k miles.
  4. VERY nice! I keep trying to talk my wife into letting me build a twin turbo kit for mine. Maybe one day....
  5. 98 BMW. Two 12" subs ported through rear seat: My 04 Cadillac CTS: And my tahoe in my sig: And the stock cargo mat sits right on top of the sub enclosure/false floor, keeping it hidden and still allowing me to haul stuff around when I need to:
  6. Thanks for the comments everyone. Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but in response to your question, I've done a couple radical jobs here and there. I've done a lot of fiberglass work, acrylic enclosures/amp racks, motorized components, etc. A list of some of my larger jobs: Eighteen 12" subs in an Isuzu Amigo with motorized hard top that lifted straight up to reveal a row of amps on both sides (6-month job), a $30k job in a 69 Caddillac 'vert, and my last suv (which was featured in a 3 pg article dec 03 issue of Truck World magazine). I lost my huge photo album of my installs during a divorce a few yrs ago, so I only have photos of a few recent installs: One of Boyd Coddington's custom rods: 98 Formula: 04 Yukon. 8" Pioneer monitor in center console and fiberglass sub enclosuire, amp rack underneath 2nd row seats: 96 Cadillac. Four Kicker L7 15" subs, motorized trunk and fifth wheel, neon: 04 Tahoe: 03 Acura TL: 96 Impala SS:
  7. Double check the intake gaskets are still positioned correctly after setting the blower on. This will definitely throw a p0300. Mine moved a couple times while setting the blower down before I finally got it right. Check tb gasket and double check all the vacuum hoses. Any vacuum leak can cause a random misfire code. What part of Austin, btw?
  8. I've been installing for almost 18 yrs and dont know of any company that makes those yet. I've fabb'ed a few of those up before for customers and made one for my truck also.
  9. Running a Radix here as well. As previously stated, upgrade your trans as much as budget allows. These trannys are weak as is, and under boosted apps, it's probably not going to last too long. Good luck bro.
  10. Pioneer Avic-D3 dd dvd/nav head unit, Pioneer BT-200 bluetooth interface, Ipod interface, Pioneer 910 XM sat/traffic tuner, Pioneer voice recog 6-disc changer (in cntr console), Pioneer CD-RB20 aux ip-bus input, Pioneer ND-BC2 back-up camera, Alpine V12 300w 4-ch amp, Rockford 1000BD mono amp with Punch EQ remote, two sets of Infinity Kappa 6.5" components custom mounted in front doors, Infinity 6.5"co-axials (rear doors), Alpine Type R 12" subs (2) in custom steel/mdf enclosure w/false floor. Here's the dual Infinity Kappa setup in the front doors: This is the custom enclosure/false floor: Here's with the factory cargo mat on top. With this set-up, I can have my subwoofer system and still have room to throw whatever I need to in the back. Plus it's stealthy and very hard to steal if someone were to break in: The center console monitor:
  11. It should be a straight up swap. The 6.0 LQ9 I swapped into my 01 Tahoe came out of a 05 Escalade. I used my stock harness and just swapped over all the accessories. Good luck.
  12. It's a good unit. I've installed a few already and haven't had any customer complaints. DEi makes good products, so you shouldn't be disappointed as long as it is installed correctly.
  13. Not yet. I just recently added the 2nd heat xchngr last week and dont have a way to log until I meet up with my tuner again.
  14. Thanks for the input guys. I'm currently running dual heat exchangers, hoping that will help out some with the IATs with the 2.8", and possibly spraying the motor as well with a 75-100 shot. Thanks for the info.
  15. Jeez, too many. I used to freestyle and ride pools/ramps on bicycles when I was younger. Fractured both tibias, scars all over my knees, legs, elbows, arms, etc, etc. Stitches on my forehead twice, left arm, and right leg. Had my right index finger sewn back on. I have a bad right shoulder from dislocating it and both my knees are jacked up and give me trouble once in a while. I probably have about 20 scars on my hands just from my work. Right now I have a torn tendon from an engine swap I did about 3 months ago trying to break a rusted bolt.
  16. Tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. Am I good to assume that two 100 mm idlers with a 2.8" pulley will work w/o any issues? And if so, are any of you using these particular pulleys and are they a direct fit? TIA for any info. Also, if any of you guys are running two 100mm idlers or a 100mm/90mm idler combo with a 2.8", what size belt are you using. Thanks again.
  17. Hope you guys don't mind a non-SSS chiming in. I have 122K and threw no.7 last week. But other than that, been a very strong and problem free motor as well as the truck as a whole. I've always kept up maintenance and haven't had to replace any hard parts on the truck aside from the usual maintenance and tune-up items like filters and such. I have a feeling if it weren't for the added 10lbs of boost, it might still be going. But now I have a great excuse to the wife for me to drop in that LQ9 I have coming in this week.
  18. I tried a search but couldn't come up with any specific or definite answers. Questions is, what do you guys think about the LS6 cam vs. GT2-3 and GT7 cams? More specifically, from the cam specs, which do you think would make better power overall with a maggied 6.0, 2.85" pulley, lt headers and ORY? Or do you guys have any other cam suggestions? It's mainly a dd, but it will see some track use from time to time for fun. Thanks for the input. LS6 cam: Camshaft Duration @ 0.050 in. I/E: 204 / 218 Camshaft Lift (in.) I/E: 0.551 / 0.541 Lobe Seperation Angle: 117.5 Lingenfelter GT2-3: Duration @ .050: 207 / 220 Lift: .571 / .578 LSA: 118.5 Lingenfelter GT7: Duration @ .050: 208 / 230 Lift: .554 / .546 LSA: 121
  19. Awesome. Thanks again for all the info; just what I was looking for.
  20. Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the longer crank in the earlier models. Glad I asked. Also, what are the internal differences between the LQ4 and 9? Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe the pistons are flat tops in the LQ9 so the cr is higher, and I'm sure the cam is different as well. What about the heads as far as valve sizes, int/ext ports, cc volume, etc? Any differences? Thanks again.
  21. Just a few pics of my radix Tahoe and Cadillac CTS.
