  1. As far as a ON3 kit on a SSS I haven't seen it done yet. I have heard good and bad on them, but I do know of guys with fox bodies running them and they are running really tough. The turbos are hit and miss, but for the price you can't expect a top of the line unit.
  2. Glad to see that you would rather have the satisfaction of building your own then buying. I bought a kit, and had to modify everything or fix things to be at my standard. I then sold it because I wanted to do my own too. If you need any help along the way let me know. I'm in north central Ohio and have all the fab things needed to finish it off.
  3. Congrats on the time! Looked like she was movin out good. How much boost were you running, and are you going to run some lighter wheels?
  4. Get new ones. Should be stock length but its always wise to check.
  5. Yes it is. Also for the heads if you are planning on running high boost, get some exhaust valves from an LY6. They are Inconel and are about $120 for the set.
  6. I ran a magnaflow with the stock exhaust at first. Then I went to the XR1. But I did a whole custom setup with it. If you want to keep the factory pipe how it is, you will be spending about as much to have it modified to fit the Borla as you will have in it for a whole cat back. And to answer your question on what the difference between the two is. The multi core is for large engines that need to be toned down. The sportsmans are a bit louder.
  7. You will also have to add some tubing in between the Y's and the new muffler. A magnaflow di/do muffler is almost bolt on other then the difference in pipe size.
  8. Nice snag! You can use the exhaust rockers, but the intake rockers are offset and will not work. What kinds of questions do you have? I have some 823's in the garage that have been worked pretty good. They are going on this winter fo sho!

  10. Truly a piece of craftsmanship. I know a lot of members here don't know how much of this truck was built by hands, and or modified to what it is now. I also know a lot of people will not notice the little things that have been done to it unless either pointed out or have followed the build like some of us. Danny, it's amazing, and hopefully you and Ash get to enjoy it for the rest of your lives together.
  11. Mine has the remote start on my key fob also. Type in "onstar remote link" in Google apps and follow the directions. Have you set up a welcome call with onstar yet? It might still work for you. I got a crew Silvy in Brownstone.
  12. I was told you can use Bluetooth as its sync'd with the truck and not associated with onstar directly. I was also told that if you use your smartphone with the onstar remote link app to remote start, lock/unlock your vehicle in the first 10 days that you will still have the option to do the same after the onstar trial is up for a total of 5yrs. I set mine up yesterday and did the remote start and lock/unlock from my phone so I will see if it actually is true. I looked into catback's and think I am going with AFE. For the price, stainless mandrel bent tubing and muffler, and tip for a little over $400 and a really good sound... I ordered a bed rug, side steps, and trying to make up my mind on a tonneau cover now. My chrome 22" reps will be on it in the spring!
  13. I just picked up my 2014 crew cab on Monday. I'm pleased with it in stock form....... for now. All my money is going into the SS still!
  14. Mines hidden so well it took me 20min on my back in the snow to find it. And I am the one how hid it!
  15. Well you can do like Danny said, or just follow her home and stand in the bushes in front of her window, and watch her eat. Pretend that your eating with her and observe if she's a pig or if she eats with her mouth open. Then you can make a decision on if you still want to take her on a date! In all seriousness, be confident and to the point. Ask with a smile and in a relaxed position (like leaning against a wall) If she says she has a boyfriend tell her that he can come alone and for her to bring some friends. Odds are that she has fat female friends that would be willing to go with her. If that plays out and she does bring a fatty, be all over the friend and impress the "hottie" with your actions to her friend.......... The hottie will be yours!
  16. When I got my SSBC big brakes, the package was drop shipped from SSBC and boxed with a mfg date 3 days before I got them and it did have made in the USA on the box.
  17. These on the other hand still look like new, perform like new, and leaves no brake dust with the same brand of pads as I used with the d/s rotors. I don't know where the pics of the d/s rotors are that shows the cracks.
  18. Drilled and slotted suck. Slotted are much better for street driving. Went through a set of drilled and slotted on a year and found cracks on the rotors. Killed the pads and gouged the rotors too. Now the high end drilled and slotted rotors are a little better as far as the cracking goes since they use a thicker surface and heavy vanes. IMO stick with stock non drilled or slotted or go with slotted only.
  19. I agree. I know a few grads of SAM and they offered the same. They got the practice they needed and others got a good product out of them. The school has a great program and gives the students freedom to contribute to the sport/hobby of others. I have another set of heads I won't be running so I might have him play around with them.
