  1. Been there done that! I had to replace the ABS Brain. IT is a project that you can do yourself, but the part is pricy! Once I had the new part in it was like driving/stopping a different truck! Hope you got it fixed.
  2. Well my truck has some kind of custom tune in it (it was like that when I bought it). It has an Air Hawg filter with stock air box (bottom is cut out of the air box). Has Delco plugs. As far as I can tell everything else is stock with the exception of the exhaust. It is stock back to where the former owner put a 2 to 1 y in and added a 3" in 3" out flowmaster and dumped it right after it goes over the rear axle. You guess is as good as mine as to why the mileage is what it is. I know that I shouldn't complain but it sure would be nice to get a little better since my commute to work is 70 miles.
  3. Hey guys. Back on this E3 thing. I was just wondering if anybody had any new feedback on them. It is time to replace the factory plugs. Unlike most of you guys I am not an SS owner, but I am a C3 owner. I use my truck as a daily driver so anything that improves my mileage is welcome. I currently get between 18 - 22 mpg (depending on how I drive). Thanks Ryan
  4. Here is the link to a 454 SS Chev on a local classified site for Utah. This guy has had it posted for a while and keeps dropping the price. Could be a good deal for someone looking for a project. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=443&s...&ad=1230272 Ryan
  5. Ok thanks. As far as how the AWD does on the trail. I have mixed feelings. I like the Awd, but there are times when you want that 4LO and it just isn't there.
  6. Ok you guys with leveling kits. I visited a coupld of shops yesterday and was talking to them about leveling kits. Since I have a C3 AWD I was advised not to go that route due to reported vibrations at and above 70 mph. I was also advised that it would firm up my ride (knew that one) and cause premature wear on cv joints, boots, ball joints and virtually everything up in the front end because of the altered angle in the driveline. All of the shops advised me to just turn up my factory keys to achieve the results that I desired because it would not raise it enough to harm anything aside from firming up the ride. Any advice. I am not looking to create a rock crawler or a mudder, but I do drive the occasional trails where a little more altitude would be very handy. I was advised to consider a body lift, but anything above 2" is not allowed in Utah I would have to have a 3" cut down (basically it would look like a 1500 HD) and build the front bumper locater and use HD rear bumper mounts and hitch. Thoughts anybody?
  7. Like the black trim. Adds definition! BTW love the truck what type of lift are you using and tire size?
  8. Is this the same as they put on the Z71 or something else? Do you have any pics?
  9. I have a flowmaster on my C3 and t definately has a drone in the cab when driving at hwy speeds, but sounds great when you get on it.
  10. Thanks All. I keep seeing these nice SSs on the road. Just wondering how the C3 will stand up to them. Anybody looking for an SS in the Salt Lake area let me know. Found a Red 2003 and a White Sierra Denali 2006. Ryan
  11. What is with this "Look at this topic" message taht I got from "Denitros"? Takes you to a porn site. What is up with that. Don't we all get enough of that crap without getting it here?
  12. Don't send me that shit again!

  13. Spent time at Camp Cooke in 2004 attached to the First Cav. Got combat patched and combat spurred in. It was pretty cool, but the AF said no go on wearing any of it. I too got off active duty in 10/06. Good luck to you dude!
  14. Hey all. 9 1/2 years Active Duty Air Force Firefighter (reserves now). Now a DoD Civillian fireighter for the Army.
  15. Hey all I guess I belong in here with all of the other non SS owners. I have a 2000 GMC C3. When I bought it I was told that it was stock with the excpetion of the exhaust (flowmaster). The other day I tried a Superchips tuner that was given to me (yes it is the correct one for this truck). I followed the instructions to the tee and everything worked well until it was time for the programmer to upload the program to the truck. It gave me an error code (036) and told me that the truck was not stock. Called super chips and they told me that there was probably a different tune already on it. I said all of the to ask this. How can I tell what tune is on it? Anybody in the Salt Lake City or Northern Utah area? Thanks Ryan
