Well after 6 yrs with the SS I traded it in on my birthday and bought a 2010 corvette grandsport callaway edition.... So I'll have a for sale ad up soon with all the Items I took off and some that never made it on so be on the look out

the TBSS spun a rod bearing. yanked the motor today. pulled the pan #4 rod is toast and so is the crank. I had only out 600 miles on it since buying it. oh well. time for a rebuild its not like the old owner could hide a rod knock. it just happens.

Sorry to hear of all your troubles Jon (idahoBLKss) hope its nothing to bad. Replacing motors suck I've had to do it a time or two.

thanks man! im going to tear into it in a couple days and see what the problem is . either way i think the motor has to come out . but a life line was thrown to me so we will see what happens.

How many project vehicles do you need to own before you admit you have a problem? going to pick up a 97 S10 SS tonight with a blowen motor and needs some body work.

Thinkin' about picking up an s10 4cyl 5 speed for a daily. Is it worth the savings?

i got a 4.3 s10 and its a sweet dd, as far as gas mileage i think ive seen the best of 16mpg but averages 14-15 mpg's (not the best gas mileage for a DD). but i like having it cause i can park in a walmart parking lot and not give 2 $hits or worry about getting a door ding or getting a cart ran into it. it basically will see asphalt and parking spots the SS has never seen in its life.
