I really did take good care of it i changed the oil every 3000 miles I never really ran it hard. never towed with it it was all stock except the intake and exhaust and rims. as for the dents the nabor kids thought it was cool to bounce a basket ball off the hood it was so bad it would have been cheeper to buy a new one backed up and hit a watter spicket with the door and front fiender and the bed when loading my 4 wheeler it wheeled and twisted spames on the bed. I did buy it new in 05 it had 11 miles on it. I know in 05 they had problems wit both the trany and the speedomoter and steering to. I have bougtht 4 new cars well the crz being the 4th but i had a toyota echo and a civic si that I drove the came as I did my SS and the SS is the only car i have had this much problems with and to be honest I rodded the crap out od my Si and it ran strong and hard when I traded it in for the ss. I dont really know a price for the grill I do know what I payed for it and know i wont get close to that But it is still new in the box never installed and dose have the billit bow tye. Well I started having a lot of problems with my ss. It burned oil leaked it up under the hood somewhere stearing shook real bad going down the road the when ever you let off the gas going down the road it jurked really bad the rear diff was allways low the only gdge that worked was the volt and tack there was over 5500 in dents dings scratches in it. I had 2400 left to pay on it when I traded it in. I got lucky the dealership didnt test drive it at all. I got a new 2011 honda crz i get about 45 mpgs with it. well I do have a 5 piece billit grill for an ss and a driver side door cladding stock air intake wit like 350 miles on it and I do have 3 crome chevy SS rims 20's one is bent at the bead of the rim so i onlu have 3 they have toyo proxy ST's on them wit around 12 to 15000 miles on them I am wanting to sell all of this stuff its just taking up space in my shed and is usless to me now.

Get rid of the butt ass ugly front ends of the Silverado. More performance and add on options so it can fit to the customers liking. How about a Colorado SS with a 6spees paddle shift with well over 450hp maybe around 600hp supper charged lowered fully loaded. kinda like the dodge 5.9 RT

Gas mileage don't bother me I traded 2 cars in to get my ss one being an echo I got like 50 mpg the other being my hoped up civic getting 17 I found a monster transmission 4l80E that can handle up to 1000hp for about 2000 is this a good price for one or is there a better cheaper one out there I should get

In about 2 months my ss will be paid off and I'm looking at adding parts to my engine. I want to do a cam swap fuel injectors throttle body spacer. I don't know what cam or fuel injectors to get. But I do know in the next year to year and a half I plan on adding a 7 to 9 lbs pro charger. When I do the can and stuff I plan on doing a shift kit and a wealth tune. Right now all I have dun is a cold air and duel 10 series flow masters when i go to get the parts im hoping to have at least 2500 for parts

that sucks whys everything come up for sail I need for my ss when I'm broke I've been looking for a cheep stock ss bumper for over 2 years now.

I have 4 80 lbs sand bags back there I use to have my 06 raptor 700R back there before I sold her stupid doctor bills

LOL thats funny when I bought my SS back in 05 I went over right away and had duel 40 flow masters on it and about 4 months ago I put on 2 10 series flow masters it is extremely loud when you get on it at times when I get on it taking off I get that old raspy hot rod sound it can be heard real good in the cab unless you crank the stereo. I have yet to add headers to it it will probably just make it a lot louder. I have them 45 degreed out behind the back tires. To me it feels as if I have more power with my 10s over the 40s. I live in a small town of less than 1000 people and a lot of people say you can here when Im going threw town but so far all I have got is complements from people on how bad ass and sweet it sounds. How ever if you have smog testing or anything like that you probably shouldn't get them right on the box in big letters it says off road use only. If you don't care and like extrema loud I say go for it I love mind and will be adding them to my dads TBSS in a few months.

I seen this topic on oil caps reminded me of my oil cap getting stolen a couple months ago right out side my house ya they popped my hood opened and stole a dumb oil cap who steals an oil cap

I would not know what I was doing or even how to replace the part with the way my luck always works I would end up braking more stuff or get it apart and never get it back together again. Plus far as i know no other SS owner lives close to me at all i haven't seen another SS in like 8 months I would love to fix it and keep it i had big plans for it soon as it was paid off . If i could fix it that cheep id keep it. Chevy was trying to screw me they wanted me to pay to have a guy test drive it to find out what was wrong and then said the part to fix it if it was what he thought would be over 500 bucks just for the part and that was not including installing it.

I am highly pissed with GM I went to get my speedometer fixed and they told me mind dose not qualify to be fixed I called GM head quarters and took it up with the district manager and all they keep saying is sorry we cant help you. To me this shows That GM dose not care about there costumers. I will not pay to get a gm screw up fixed. So it looks like I will probably be getting rid of my SS. I told them at gm head quarters that because they wont fix a gm problem I will take my money else were and buy a ford or a dodge. I all ready have a 2010 F150 XLT lined up for under 27000. I love my SS very much and only have 6500 left to pay on it and its mind but I refuse and will never pay for a screw up with any car company

Ok thanks for the help. Ya my ss is an 05 with less than 60000 miles and this is my first problem I have ever had with it besides a leaking windshield washer tank. Thanks again I will get it to the shop Monday morning

I was driving down the road today and noticed my speed said 60 and was no were near doing 60 I slowed down it wouldn't even move down at all now its stuck way down by the d and 3 and will not move any direction at all any one know what's wrong

I can't wait less than 7000 buck and the SS is finally payed of and will be mind then I start to tare into it fixing it up

58000 and it was bought new with 11 miles on april 16th 05
