  1. Also, I haven't heard anyone talk about the transfer case for the awd. Is that an issue at all? has anyone had probs. with it?....what options do I have for a swap or beefing it up to handle all that hp?
  2. I think the heads, cam, intake and a FLT 4L80e-5 would be a great start with the end goal of adding a ProCharger or Maggie to all of that at some point if the 15k won't cover it right now. I for sure want to build the truck right and wouldn't want to go back to the engine internals. I guess my next decision is what kind of heads, cam and, disregarding cost for labor, which is better the Maggie or ProCharger.
  3. Awesome info...thanks everyone. The truck isn't my DD, but I'm sure I'll probably be driving it a lot after work and esp. on weekends...Hell, it's pretty quick right now with the setup that's on it. I can only imagine what it'll be like after it's supercharged! I def. want something that's streetable on one hand, but I think I would be happy if it did, let's say mid 11's ...that would be my goal.
  4. What would make more hp though a ProCharger or Tubro setup?
  5. That's what I was thinking too! My brother is store Mgr. for Firestone, has an acct. w/Chevy and can get a great price off MSRP. I was looking at the LS 376/480 crate engine for about the same cost as a ProCharger installed
  6. Hello gentlemen and ladies possibly, I recently bought an '04 SSS off the Forum here and have a scheduled freight delivery for Dent Guy's custom painted cowl hood and shaved gate. Now all I need is the speed to back up the looks of the truck! The previous owner has already done the following mods - Performance: Corsa Sport, Dyantech LT's W/ Cats, Wheatley Custom Tune, NGK TR55, MSD 8.5mm Plug Wires, Volant CAI, SLP Stat, Custom Tune, Transgo HD2-C, Vette Servos, FLT Aluminum Accumulator Pistons, C5 Deep Transmission Pan Exterior: 2" Drop, Carriage Works 5-piece grill, Street Scene Bowtie, Bed Rug, Soft Tonneau, Silverstars, Factory matched tinted windows, Antenna delete, SS Bowtie hitch cover... Too many coats of Zaino! I have 15k for the modding right now but will need to have a good shop do the build for me since the extent of my automotive skills would be a brake job! ...So, if anyone knows a good shop in the Kansas City area, please let me know. I would be very grateful to anyone who could suggest exactly what I should do to the truck with my budget...it has only 29k original miles on it now. Thanks!
  7. I originally hired Ameristar Transport off UShip, but since it was waaay upstate Ny near Canada, they couldn't find a driver in a timely manner. I ended up flying out and driving her home.
  8. FINALLY, I have her home! I just wanted to say thank you to you for taking such great care of your truck and being such an awesome seller. I also wanted to thank anyone who was thinking about buying this truck and didn't pull the trigger! ...You missed out...this truck is a very, very rare find, so thanks again! I have big plans for this truck and will keep everyone here posted! It was great to meet you and your Wife in person too. Thanks again Teddy!
  9. You may want to consider this one I just found instead... http://www.lazerlitecovers.com
  10. Those are cool but I need it to lock / unlock from the outside for a shaved tailgate...thanks though!
  11. I just bought a black '04 SSS and was looking at the now extinct Gemtop GT Classic hard bed cover for it. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know. Thanks!
  12. I will for sure Johnny. Thanks for the lead on the hood and tailgate they're awesome! My only concern would be shipping without any damage, that is if they're still for sale.
  13. Looks awesome! If they're still for sale, please email me some larger pics. [email protected]
  14. Thanks, I can't wait! I've already bought some goodies... The JVC KW-NT810HDT 7" Nav. System AND the new Passport Max with laser shifter ZR-4 to help keep my license in good standing! I'm also looking into a good quality Cowl Hood. Do you have any suggestions?
  15. Thank you! I'm very excited and blessed to be owning such a well cared for, low mileage beauty! The only problem I'm going to have is waiting the two weeks to receive it from the shipping company
  16. Sounds like a very nice truck. Is it still for sale?
  17. I'm looking at a SSS located in long Island @ smith haven dodge. ...is this your old truck? If so, what kind of problems did you have with it and the cool charger?
