Yeah, after I saw them installed on the truck, they look killer. I'm changing my 4" polished aluminum intake tube to 5" and am going to have that powder coated as well. That way valve covers won't look so lonely under the hood, hehe
  2. The other one got pissed one day and ran away from home

Just got this today. I think I'm going to have it powder coated candy blue to match my valve covers, then sand & polish the emblem and ribs

  5. ok, I see. When I bought my tvs 2300, the kit came with a single walbro 255 and I think 45lb injectors but retained the stock regulator (stock return-less style system) and was good for about 12psi. I know everyone I spoke to recommended Walbro, including Zippy when I went to upgrade to a double pumper return style because I wanted to go faster. Honestly, I'm not sure you'll even find anyone on this site who runs AEM, so you may want to check some other resources to who are familiar with their quality and reliability if you can't live without AEM for some weird reason.
  6. Most guys here use the Walbro pumps, including myself. I have dual 255's and some even have dual 450's. Why AEM?

It supposedly comes with one...at least I hope. This is the description... These Trick Flow® heavy-duty differential covers feature cast aluminum construction and extreme-duty bearing cap support studs for uncompromised differential protection. Jam nuts, support studs, stainless steel ARP bolts, 3/8 in. magnetic drain plug, and a gasket are included.

Awesome, thank you gentlemen! I ended up going with this one just because it looked better to me http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-8510300 I did end up having to buy metric, stainless ARP's though because it only comes with SAE. Those F***ers alone cost me over 30$...sheesh!

For the rear? I had my tech do it - he just installed the parts I bought, but I wasn't aware I needed anything else. Do you have part numbers?

Here's my best 60' on street tires from a few weeks ago. I'll be sure to post up the results next spring. I did 2 launches with the Nittos and just got a little chatter but no really bad wheel spin, so hopefully they'll be better on a prepped surface

Thought these would be a nice upgrade since It really sucks when one breaks - it happened to me on my lifted '06 Duramax and it's something I would prefer not to experience again!
  12. Just curious if the fire started here ^^^ or under the hood like you said here vv http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/88401-transfer-case-for-4l80e/
  13. Wow, that's horrible! So the fire started from the transmission underneath the truck while you were driving home? What kind of fuel were you running?
  14. Awesome runs! Why don't you have your slips? Did your truck burn up...totaled?

They definitely pick up rocks, but with the flaps you should be okay. I would guess they wouldn't last very long though...maybe 20k miles, but since it's not your daily, that could equate to 4 years or more depending on how much you drive her. ...They grip awesome though!

They're not that aweful, but the 20" Race Stars I was looking at are 20lbs lighter still. That would be a 32lb savings per corner over the 22's. The big question is, how much will that improve my time over the stockers...is it worth ANOTHER $1500 bones? The little that I did drive them, I'll just say this; I'm glad I never took my mud flaps off. Not to mention, some guys were giving me shit about the look but they're saving my paint job. There's at least 1/4" of rubber caked on them after the track. These are tacky as well. In fact, you can just put your hand on them and feel the tackiness. I looked at the NT05R's first but since the smallest width in a 20 was 315 and they're going on my narrow-ass stockers, I decided to go with the 555R's instead, plus they more of a street tire than the 05R's. Mine are pretty damn soft Pat, so I would at least recommend some mud flaps like mine if you decide to run them.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it to the track again before they closed for the season but I'll be ready when they re-opening in the Spring!! I'm hoping these babies will help me out too 22's = 82lbs 20's = 71lbs
  18. Damn dude, looks like you may have to get the sawzall out to cut a hole in your hood...that thing's massive and looks really cool!
  19. This is the time of year I like to give back to the community and other derelicts in need...stop being proud and please allow me to send you out a care package brother
