Hmm thats pretty interesting. I have found and LQ9 motor on ebay that came out of a 2003 escalade for about 3000. So basically the difference is the SS is an LQ9 and the 2500 is LQ4? which the main difference is the pistons are dished instead of flat?

2000 silverado LS ext. cab. 5.3 motor. currently i have a one wheel peel..and i was wanting to get a posi trac..or something to get power to both wheels..but wasnt sure what some good setups are and where to get them? anyone have any ideas? thanks. chandler

sometimes..when i shift into reverse it acts as a neutral and just revs up. And when it does go into reverse it sometimes starts coasting with a "bumb". im dont know alot about this but i need to get it fixed..im looking to eventually make this truck with around 400hpp..just wanting to build a strong street truck. looking for help or advice from anyone! thanks

Also would it be worth changing out the ass end to the SS since the standard 2wd rear end is only limited slip..AKA one wheel peel. If anyone has any answers for me..please let me know. thanks
