Don't they use Ferrera valves? Or, are they making those themselves also?

What would cause valve stems to mushroom? A hammer?

Rocker arms, push rods?

Not too many good things being said about Patriot here lately. At least one sponsor has dropped their products from their line. I believe it was Texas Speed. Good luck with them. Adjustable rockers and CompR lifters?

They only made a little over 10,000 it's first year. From the numbers of '03s still being bought new, I'd say that they wouldn't exceed that number for '04. I still haven't seen any numbers though.

I have the Transgo HD-2, series B, shift kit and corvette servo. I bought it from JAG Performance in San Antonio. It has 2 spacers installed. I have the Yank TT2600 converter. Both are self- installed. Moderate towing 2-3K pounds (boat).

Install is fairly straight forward. As long as you don't freak when you see the valvebody and have to take it apart. It's really easy and can be done in your driveway. Just get yourself plenty of old t-shirts or towels to spread underneath. It constantly leaks while you're under there. Drop Zippy a PM on the Superior kit. The transgo is available through Tbyrne, but not sure if he has the HD kit, which is the one you want. It's also the same one that FLP puts in their trannys.

I have the Transgo-HD series B kit. Comes with a corvette servo. Zippy - master of all tranny work (no joke)- likes the Superior shift kit. Not sure what the diffs are. Maybe he'll pipe in here and discuss. I know of a couple of us with the Transgo kit, not sure if anyone has done the Superior kit, "yet".

You need to get a shift kit installed. That will take out any looseness, if that's a word, that you have. It will shift 10x better also.

What exactly is orange peel? Is that something that would only show in black - mostly?

Somebody needs to find the search button, if you really think there hasn't been any threads about problems. Numerous have had the same squeaky shock problem you have had.

It affects the chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open, vehicle off. That's it. No doors chime, but I don't remember any other doors chiming, even before I pulled the wire. Door ajar chimes still work. Don't know what the diffs are between any other truck, but would think any '03 truck would work the same.

Does it eliminate top speed, or give you options of where to move it to? Like what your tires are rated at?

Must not mean in this vehicle. 'Cause we all know how slow it is.

Actually bought from a member on the site that doesn't get on here very much anymore. Goes by J & J motorsports. Took his last one. I may go by a shop and see if they can duplicate before I stick to the window. That way if I ever loose my windshield for some reason, I'll have an extra. I'll let you know if I do.

Richard - does your windshield SS sticker have tinting with it, or just a stand alone SS sticker?

I think you guys have trouble only because you just like pushing buttons. Is it only the old guys having this problem. Seems to be.
