  1. Haven't really found any forum in particular but if you do some searches you will see a few descriptions. Still trying to figure out how to wire the two ext switches for my garage doors.
  2. Cool thanks. The SS on black background is exactly what I wanted but now that I saw it on my deck I kind of want to see options with more going on if you know what I mean. It's pretty cool to have a nav deck boot up with 'SS' on it though.
  3. Perfect. Thank you sir. Got any more cool stuff I might like to use for this??
  4. Thanks man but unfortunately there's not enough black on the top or bottom for me to crop to the right aspect ratio. I'm good at resizing and cropping but I don't know how to add material yet. It can be a Silverado SS logo or something like that too. Real pics would work too if anyone has any suggestions. There are a couple cool ones I found of a SS taken from an angle of just the emblems but it's blue and I would prefer a red truck since I have a red one.
  5. I tried searching this forum and Google and just couldn't come up with something I liked. I want a basic metallic looking SS logo on a black or dark background. Doesn't have to be a real image and I would prefer something more CG anyway. It doesn't have to be exactly like this either. I'm open to other suggestions but needs to be at least 480 x 270 as that's what the resolution is. If it's bigger that's fine to I can just crop as needed. Post what ya got!
  6. Haha... For some reason the first time I read this I read gauge cluster instead of headlight harness. Coincidentally there is also a brown/white wire in the top left corner of that one as well so you can imagine my confusion when I couldn't get it to behave like a illumination with a meter. Good thing I decided to meter before just wiring stuff up or who knows what could have happened. I came in after 10min of probing that entire harness to read your reply and glad I didn't waste any more time messing with the wrong harness. I will go back out and test/tap the right wire and move on with my install. Just thought I would share in case you were puzzled by my previous reply talking about the gauge cluster.
  7. What about the airbag key/switch to the right of the stereo? It has a bulb that illuminates with the headlights so it would work too. Actually, I have the gauge cluster out right now and had to tap a VSS so I might as well run one more wire over while it's all out. Speaking of gauge cluster... what's the deal with these stupid things? I have a bulb burnt out at 77k miles already and everything I'm reading says that these clusters are steaming piles of cow crap. I took the two black bezels off front and rear to try to access the bulbs but it looks like the needles needs to come off to access them. Since they are self calibrating I can take off all the needles and put them back on w/o keeping track of the location and it will calibrate them afterward, right?
  8. For some reason my aftermarket deck will not go into night mode when the headlights/dash lights come on. I think I saw something that said it's a gray wire but all I find is a single gray wire with a black stripe near the center on the bottom (relative to what way is up I guess) and when I put a meter to it I can't get 12v regardless of if the lights are on or not. I saw something else that said there was no illumination wire in the factory stereo harness in 2004. Not sure which is right because I can't seem to find a wiring diagram. I have a PAC-2BOSE and it's supposed to be just plug in but I'm not getting illumination function and when I look at the PAC harness vs the OEM harness it looks like the orange illumination wire pin goes to a blank spot on the factory harness. I need to locate an illumination wire so that I can relocate the pin to the correct location.
  9. I ended up ordering the WeatherTech Digital Liner floor mats. They should be here tomorrow hopefully so I will report back what I think. There is some sort of all weather liner in the rear that's a one-piece. I'm putting a ProBox under the rear seat so I figured that floor mat would work fine since I will rarely have anyone in the back seat. I got a set for the front for only $55 from Amazon.com w/free 2-day shipping (Prime account) and have my fingers crossed that I get what I ordered. Seems to be about half the price of what I found them for everywhere else so I'm a bit concerned but they had the correct part number and everything. We'll see....
  10. These are sharp. I might have to spend a little more (about double) then what I had budgeted for floor mats. Now, if only I could find some used for about half the price.
  11. Exactly what I was thinking.
  12. Anyone have anything? Looking for something to go under the rear seat of my 04 Silverado SS that will hold two 12" subwoofers. Let me know what you got.
  13. Anyone? Looks like the mats by Highland are the popular ones on eBay. Not sure how well they fit or if they have the hook that hold them in place like the picture looks like. Still hoping to see some options to help me make my decision.
  14. I'm seeing now that the Bluetooth in these two units might be for phone calls only and not streaming MP3's from your cell phone. Can you confirm or deny the music streaming of these two decks?
