    LS3 Swap?

A buddy of mine is upgrading from his LS3 out of his 'Vette and gave me first dibs on the motor. How hard of a swap would this be and would it even be worth it into an 06 SS? Would this motor bolt onto my 4L65E tranny? I am pushing 190K miles and was going to rebuild my motor soon anyway, and this LS3 has under 50K miles.
  3. Yea, you're telling me. I am in Dallas on business right now and I don't know what I would have done if my truck would have been stolen. They had the ignition on and all, but the Immobilizer was the only thing that kept the truck from starting up. They were definitely targeting my truck because my truck was the only vehicle that was broken in to that night in the parking lot.
  4. Well this past weekend, someone decided they wanted to steal my truck. They did not succeed because they couldn't get past my Immobilizer. They broke my ignition cylinder in the process. The problem now is the security light will not turn off. Do you guys know how get that light turned off? Is that something that I will have to bring to the dealer to turn off? Thanks in advance.
  5. stock for stock, both cars should be about dead even.
  6. I honestly do not know the brand name of them (got them from Ebay). They sent me a set for the 03-04 (all wheel discs) model and I have an 06 (front discs, rear drums). I have a set from the same company on my truck now and they work great. Let me know if that deal falls through and we can work something out.
  7. I have a set of the fronts, brand new I can sell you. I order the wrong ones and these are just sitting in my room collecting dust. Let me know if you want me to send you pictures.

    Imports

There are a ton of fast imports out there. My brother is a import tuner/engine builder, so I see them all the time. His racecar (Honda Civic) ran his fastest time of 10.0xx at 151 mph and his daily driven car runs low 11's, both of these cars being fully street legal.
  9. I usually get 15-15.5 mpg with a mix of highway and city driving. When pulling my 24' bay boat, i get right at 10 mpg cruising at 70.
  10. Great, thanks for the responses guys. Is there a link or data sheet that you guys can point me to? I'm having trouble with the guy that I ordered my rotors from because he thinks he sent me the correct rotors and I'm trying to prove otherwise.
  11. What size are the stock front rotors for a 2006 SS? I am asking because I ordered some new rotors and they sent me 12" rotors. I measured mine and they are 13" rotors. I've tried researching on the internet and everywhere they are saying the fronts should be 12". Did the rotor size change in 2006 from the previous model SS's? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  12. Can you send me some pics? I may be interested.
  13. I'm in the market for a new magnaflow exhaust system and noticed this website. This website has the lowest prices out of all of the places I've seen. Can you guys give me some feedback on this website if you have purchased from them? Thanks in advance.
  14. http://www.crutchfield.com/app/product/ite...+wheel+controls I believe this is the only company that makes these things so you can keep your steering wheel controls. You can find these things on ebay for about 50 bucks if you dont want to spend the 75 that crutchfield is asking.
  15. I am in the same boat. I am wanting to get a new muffler for my SSS also but am not sure what I want. Probably just change out the muffler because the stock piping seems large enough and I want to keep the stock look. Any help please.
