  1. I'm still looking for 24s for my AWD SS. I've got Belltech spindles up front, with the torsion bars slightly cranked and Hotchkis lowering leafs in back, which dropped the back around 4 +a little (just enough to even the beast out!). Since I would prefer not rubbing the tires, which size is best for most? The 24 inch rims I am looking at will have a positive +30 to +40 offset and will be 10 inches wide. I've seen people running 305/40/24 or 295/40/24 or 285/40/24. Which would be the best for me? Thanks for the help!
  2. Great, thanks for your help!
  3. I found a great deal on a Magnavolt boost referenced voltage module and my vortech Si trim and 408 are thirsty! The unit is intended for a 2007-2010 CK truck and SUV-- so will this work with my application, a 2004 SSS? Also, after reading the magnuson instructions on their website, the wiring diagram for the magnavolt unit shows a wire going to the I/C pump. or the intercooler pump (provided by Magnuson for their sc kits). So for my vortech sc and aftercooled app, where would this wire go instead?? This may be a dumb question, but I am making sure of things before my purchase. Thanks!
  4. I am also looking for more information about this intake?? What is needed to run it? So far what I found was: The manifold itself (#7139/#71393) is ~$400 You need a compatible fuel rail kit (#3629) which is $150 And you can either buy a new TB (#3869/#38693) or get an adaptor (2737) to fit your ls1 TB for $15 What else (do our fuel injectors fit, and do we need a fuel pressure regulator?), if there is anything else and how does this compare to the Vic Jr. especially for a S/C application?
  5. Thanks- your response is helpful. Although this is hard to estimate, what is your best guess of power gains that I could expect from the truck-->edelbrock swap with my build?
  6. These intake threads keep me up way too late.. I'm in the process of building a 408 stroker and I will be using my Vortech si-trim blower. Besides relocating the IAT sensor to the boosted side, upgrading to dual Walbro fuel pumps, etc...I want to make sure to avoid the infamous 7th cylinder failure. My build also includes ls6 ported heads, dished piston, and the cam is a comp cam with specs XR269HR...216/220 .525/.532. My question is- is it worth replacing the stock truck manifold to a Vic Jr. or the Ls6 for my build? I'm not going the FAST route bc of the lack of affordability. I found the thread on ls1truck for the ls6 intake swap, and the amount of work for the swap, although not bad, makes me want to try something easier. Would the Vic. Jr. intake add quality #s to my build and add insurance to prevent lean cylinder failure? Lastly, exactly what other mods/parts do I need to make the truck to edelbrock intake swap complete?
  7. Holy balls man- the intercooler looks awesome. Good luck on getting the rest done!
  8. Those boxers are awesome man! I'm a fan of the brindle boxers but all colors are sweet.
  9. Thanks guys- Toby is 1 and 1/2 years old. He's a good boy and he hauls some serious ass- I think he's got some major exhaust or something
  10. My boxer Toby made a pretty funny face during the NCAA games- here he is: He thinks Kansas and some others stunk up the tournament.
  11. The season is coming to an end and the lakers and cavs are both looking strong! The lakers proved they could win without Kobe, but the playoffs are another story. It seems like Kobe's return was great at first, and then he had a slump. But 20 points last night in the second quarter even had Kobe dancing on the sidelines. He looks to be in playoff form, but the Cavs do too. Now that some time has elapsed, and the trade deadline came to an end with some key players traded, what do you guys think? Who is the better team now? I think the Magic are going to give the Cavs some trouble, but maybe not enough trouble. I just hope the lakers bring it when playoffs come since we know the nuggets will and dallas will too!
  12. I think this wagon has a cool paint scheme. What I like about it is that the ghost flames are subtle but catchy. I think with the arrival blue some ghosty flames with a black base and then lightly covered with the blue could look sweet! I'm not set on this, I was just throwing an idea out there to see what people thought. I am a fan of simple but some additions make simple look better!
