  1. I'm running the obx headers myself. You can't run a plug wire with the fiberglass heat socks and have the sock and wire touching the header itself. You'll cook the wire and it'll split and arc to the header causing ALL kinds of problems (oil pressure sensor reading incorrectly, cylinder misfire, popping exhaust, black smoke from the exhaust, exc exc) I posted this awhile ago, you need these http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd510/Pwilly7/IMG_1339_zps9dec9232.jpg For the back two plug wires on the drivers side. Sorry for the pic being upside down, but you get the idea.
  2. Yup, they're pretty slow.
  3. The duramax MAPs plug into ours and fit in the L92 manifold just as the stock unit does and they're 3.3bar I believe. I bought one, but now I need the 3 bar LS9 map and pigtail because my Hi Ram won't accept the stock map
  4. Yeah man, they get loud. time to get that tune dialed in and maybe hit the track when it opens up hu?
  5. Honestly I wouldn't put any of the silver washers in the accumulator cup. The spring you switch that comes with the kit is a lot beefier and will crispen up the shifts just fine on its own, no need to compress it farther. I put one in and it clunks pretty hard sometimes at part throttle shifts. It says "street/strip" but it's a little too aggressive and kind of nasty on hard parts. Just some advice from a guy who's been there. when I pull my Trans pan again, I will be removing that washer.
  6. Go with LTs. Also, I'm confused about you wanting to install one single cut out when you're going to be installing a X pipe??? If you have dual exhaust you need two cut outs and if you have a Y pipe that connects the two banks down stream, why bother having a X pipe at all? If you can't stand the drone now with cats make sure you have some serious noise killing power in the exhaust, (especially with a cam) or you'll really have some drone.
  7. Sweet seats! I wanted to put some seats like that in my truck a few years ago but apparently there's some pretty strict codes for having a harness type seatbelt so I decided against it. How do you have that legal without a bar?
  8. Sounds like his car needs the driver mod
  9. First let me say I'm no cam expert, but please don't over cam it. Seems to be a mistake a lot of people make. 3600 is perfect for a mid-low 22x intake duration and low 23x/high 22x exhaust duration. The L92 heads flow very well on the intake side so there's no need for a big cam. Besides, you're in a heavy ass truck. You'll want a little TQ down low for the street, just because you have a 3600 stall doesn't mean you'll be using it all the time. Im running a 3200 stall on my 224/228 and wish I went 3600.
  10. Oh yeah, forgot about that. The 5 spokes I posted didn't clear my calipers at all. I don't know how digger Dan got them to fit :donno:
  11. Pretty sure 88 up is all 6x5.5. Just not enough room inside the rim. The ones I posted are kind of rare though (88-91) so I doubt anyone has tried to fit them. Just thought I'd give it a shot.
  12. Anyone try to fit these over our calipers? http://www.midwestwheelcover.com/1618usedrims.aspx I have a feeling they won't clear because Ive tried these and they don't clear http://m.ebay.com/itm/400851153699but I'd rather not buy them and have them not fit. I found some Nissan 16s that fit, but those rims from the first pic look a lot better.
  13. You'll do better than 350km a tank. the truck is just guessing that's how far you'll get using your average economy. But your average economy numbers are being scewed by your idling.
  14. Have you been idling the truck now that it's winter? That'll kill your over all mileage.
  15. I picked up some 16s and planning on running et streets on all 4 corners
  16. http://www.siemensdekafuelinjectors.com/fuel-injectors/ Near the bottom. Ev1 or EV6 connectors are available.
  17. From what I remember the oil ring has to come off because the pick up tube has to be pulled anyway if doing the timing set. I pulled my pump, tore it down, cleaned and inspected it before reinstalling. I don't think I'll be reusing it next to around though 320 000km on it now. On a side note, if you are changing the timing set and pull the pump, buy a NEW pick up tube O ring and be VERY, VERY careful not to pinch it when reinstalling the tube or you'll be pulling it apart again because of oil pressure issues. It's hard to see the O ring seating due to how the pick up tube bolts to the pump so try to feel around the tube every now and then to ensure it goes in correctly.
  18. I don't think its worth the $$$ though. If I recall they're in the $1100 dollar neighbourhood.
  19. A stall will help a truck in the 1/4 a lot. It's a good mod, but like mentioned above, you should run a bigger Trans cooler. Your tow rating will be significantly cut with a stall in most cases as well.
