  1. Here is a pic from today. I cleaned them with detail spray, polished with #2 again, and hit them with some of the machine super wax. I dont think pictures do justice.
  2. It's basically their ultimate porter cable kit minus a few things that I didn't need/all ready have. I plan on updating this thread as I use the product and will give my opinions and whatnot as well. So far all Ive done is wipe the truck down with some detail spray and polish the wheels. Im very impressed with the metal polish. They have a two part system that Ive all ready gone over the wheels once with. Before polish (old pic) After Metal Polish #1 After Metal Polish #2 This was done by HAND only. Im going to do polish #2 again with some Machine Super Wax to finish and seal them up sometime today. So I should have more pics tonight or tomorrow.
  3. Thanks Justin, so far gathering all these parts has been easy (not on the wallet). Gonna be hard putting everything together with no where to work on my truck.
  4. Niko, im hoping so lol. Im pretty sure its Dozer on here that is running a 408/F1R with a level-7 and no issues. So im pretty sure I'll be ok lol.
  5. What are you gonna do for brakes?
  6. Will, IF you ever sell this truck Im buying it... just saying lol.
  7. Well time for another small update... Thanks to Jon (idahoblkss), I will have some 60# injectors sometime next week. Im also ordering a complete fuel pump module (with walbro 255 pump) from Racetronix tomorrow. Now I just really need to sit down and figure out what the hell im gonna do about the transmission situation. I REALLY want to keep with the 4L60/65 and buy a Level 7 trans from FLT, but the other side of my brain says just go to the 4L80. Just a lot more work with the 80 swap. Taking suggestions on this!!!
  8. Man Shaun, I might have my turbo stuff done before yours is!!! Keeping working at it! Everyone at my work keeps asking me if my turbo is on yet and ive only had the kit for 3 months now haha.
  9. Haha, IDK about a rocket, but if it can pull high 12s ill be extremely happy.
  10. Hoping to have everything done by September. Im not rushing any part of the build as it is my DD. I figure if I can get my diff work done in June, trans in July, fuel stuff in August, then turbo in september. Have it all tuned before the end of October for Ocean City's fall cruise-in. That's the LAZY schedule. Trying to have it done well before then really. Just not sure what fuel pump to go with. Also need to figure out the trans. Whether or not to rebuild mine or buy a new one. 4WD should be a blast now as well
  11. What size front tire are you running? Love the wheel/tire combo and stance
  12. thats awesome man! too bad im not still at school in blairsville. Id love to see that truck run at PRP.
  13. Thanks man, its gonna be hard waiting for other things to get done before putting this in! turbo is a Master Power 70mm with .96 a/r exhaust. If ive done my homework correctly i should be around 450-475 @ 7psi and around 525-550 @ 10psi. I figure if i start with a fresh engine that the numbers would be about 10% more. Which isnt worth it for me to do yet. But who knows what the numbers would be since Im 4WD as well, dont really matter what it makes. Time will tell and Ill be happy with however it comes out regardless. :thumb:
  14. Hoping this little air pump thing-a-ma-jig will help get my truck up and moving a little bit quicker. turbo kit is KB racing's MP T70 intercooled kit.
  15. And now for an update that everyone will love...
  16. ill be checking this site all weekend and hopefully posting updates throughout as well... All I can say is that some mustangs are about to see plenty of
  17. Ya I love em too but they are just so stinkin heavy! Traded them to a former co-worker for his labor on my truck lol. And truthfully the main reason is I like the murdered look but once I get everything else colormatched, these wheels will really stand out.
  18. They are 20x8 polished Centerline Snipers. Tires are 285/50-20 116V Nexen Roadian HPs. Also took the tahoe lower off since I plan on dropping another 2" sometime soon. And here is what It looked like before.
  19. Cant wait! Ill be there tomorrow night! What all meets are going down this weekend? Even though I wont have the truck im gonna try to get my friend to stop by some of the meets.
  20. Well I HIGHLY doubt that I'll have my truck there since I drove my friends both time last year, I WILL be there thursday night till Sunday. Gonna try to have my truck up and running on 10psi of turbo boooost by the fall cruise!
  21. here are pics of the new wheels mounted up. need to order new o-rings for the center caps.
  22. Well its time for another mini update... Wheels and new tires are now on the truck. Will post some pics up when I get the truck all nice and clean. Also recieved word that my turbo kit will be shipping by the end of this week, just waiting for a couple vbands. To do list: Efans/harness/alternator Truetrac/studs/Moser cover shackles and slight decrank I want to at LEAST get that stuff done before I start up on the trans, fuel, and turbo parts. Im now setting my completion goal for the FALL Ocean City cruise weekend.
  23. Small update... Still waiting on the turbo kit to get finished up and shipped. Hopefully not too much longer but I know Kyle (kbracing) has been busy with a lot of kits. I have however purchased a set of used 20" centerlines so that I can get my winter wheels and tires off and have more clearance for my oversized front rotors. Wheels are 20x8 Centerline Snipers.
  24. Your best bet (if you cant do it yourself) is to take it to the dealer and have them split the diff and install FACTORY parts. Ive seen too many people at the dealer I used to work at opt out of the factory parts and go aftermarket and complain that it didnt last long. You CAN replace the bearings without splitting the case.... But it is NOT the correct way to do it.
