something else to think about...... i also have the 2008 ltz vortecmax 4wd, if you are leasing the truck you might want to look into a way to preserve that painted bumper. i only have 16,000 miles on mine and it already looks like crap from rock chips. i'm going to add a grille guard and paint the bumper flat black to match the bar, but i own the truck so its an easy fix for me. i hear the dealerships can put on what aviation mechanics call leading edge tape, its a thin clear plastic tape that they put on the bumper and hood. also, my grille is starting to chip away too!

i am the origional owner of my baby, the 2008 silverado ext cab vortec max ltz. i bought her in april 2008. i was only going to the dealership to get an idea of exactly what i wanted and there she was, i test drove her and rolled out an hour later with the keys in hand. here it is only september and i got 9,000 miles on her! she's addicting to drive!

hey, anyone know where to get or who makes a true dual h-pipe exhaust for a 2008 v-max?

so, intro..... i'm jason from arlington, texas. i'm stationed in ridgecrest, california. i drive a 2008 silverado ext cab 4x4 vortec max with the ltz package and 3.73 rear end. i have to admit, i traded in my 2002 sierra and as much as i hated to see her go i think i made the right choice! i have to give props to chevy on the new trucks. i was really paranoid to by this truck with the new engine with fuel management system but i drove it to texas and back to cali and i have almost 9,000 miles with absolutely no complaints! i have almost as many on road miles as i do off road and again no complaints! through deep sand to steep climbs this truck is a work horse with first class comfort! i am looking forward to talking to everyone here for getting ideas as well as giving ideas like how i custom installed my cb into my console so it is completely hidden.
