  1. I have not dropped the pan yet probably this weekend before I can do that, I do have a new TCC solenoid (in hopes that is the problem) ready for when I do drop pan. That was a suggestion from a friend, but the high spikes in the rpms make me think it may be the clutches. Thanks
  2. The shift kit and servos were installed at the same time I did the blower, about 20,000 miles ago. The problem came on quick, one day it was running great the next it wasn't.
  3. Hey All, I do not post much on here but I am on here most days lurking around. I have been searching and found a ton of info on the transmission, and I'm just trying to make sure I check out all possibilities before deciding it's time for a new trans. Here's what the truck started doing. While in fourth gear holding a steady speed the rpms would swing three to four hundred rpms sometimes as high as seven hundred. It does not do this in any other gear, the fluid level looks good, as well as the fluid itself (serviced less than 20,000 mile ago), the temp never got higher than 200 degrees or so. It then threw code P0894, trans comp slip. The truck is a 2003 SS with 60,000 miles. List of mods, Magnacharger MP112 with a 3.0 pulley Volant CAI HPM eFans Magnaflow muffler Dynatech LT with high flow cats Zippy shift kit and servos Wheatley tune Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. I'm in, been waiting for these to come back 2003 SS
  5. Year of truck: 2003 Model: Silverado SS Trans: Zippy kit Converter: Stock Gear: 4.10 Tires: 275/55/20 List of current mods: Volant CAI W/ram air tube, Dual flowmasters, Jet hot coated dynatech LTs w/high flow cats, Magnacharger MP112 Possible future mods: E-fans, 3.0 or 2.9 pulley for the MP112 Goals for truck: To lower 1/4 mile times and still be suitable for the street Uses of the truck: Not my daily driver but it is driven regularly, and I do pull a trailer every so often. Thanks for any suggestions
  6. My first car was a 1969 lwb chevy pickup, 250 six cylinder three on the tree, most dependable vehicle I have ever owned.
  7. Sounds like something to look into, what kind of sound do you get out of that set up. I have flowmasters now and like the sound but wouldn't mind getting a better performing muffler.
  8. Southeast about 30 minutes from Beaumont
  9. Been hanging around in the background doing a lot of reading, and decided to jump in and introduce myself to the forum. This is a first for me on any forum, so be gentle. I bought my arrival blue 03SSS new and have done very little to it, other than an exhaust and a CAI. Well the mod bug has been chewin on me for awhile (since 03) and with only 35k on the truck I have convinced myself it is time. I'm ready for a supercharger, my plans are for a tvs1900 or a mp112, coated dynatech lts, Taylor 409 wires, Ngk plugs, a zippy shift kit and servos and being fairly close to Houston I'm gonna go with Wheatley for the tune. Now I'm not real Internet saavy, the best price I found for the TVS new is around $5,400 and the 112 $4,900 at superchargersonline.com. The coated dynatechs at jethot.com for$1,600. Do these prices sound good or can I do better? Which blower would be best? Saving money would be great but quality, dependability, and ease of install are worth more to me since everything is going to be installed by me and a very knowledgable buddy. Any tips, suggestions, or advice will be greatly appreciated, as there seems to be a wealth of knowledge here. Thanks
