  1. Ya I am not sure if the above noted sprag is the OEM unit or not. I do believe the OEM sprag is also a 29 element unit, but not sue if this one is different.
  2. Thanks guys, I thought the shifting into 4th under WOT was a programing thing, but some guys at a transmission shop tried telling me it was the transmission. As for the forward sprag, is there an after mark one a guy can get that is stronger? or are people just rebuilding it with a stock one? Thanks, Rj
  3. I have a 2003 SS that is basically stock. I have a cold air intake and a superchip re-programmer. With the programmer I took the speed limiter off and set the shift points and pressure to what I wanted. When I tested it the truck will not shift into 4th gear under WOT, it revs to 6000 but won’t shift up. I dropped the shift point all the way and same thing. If I let off the throttle just a bit then it will shift up but when I go back to WOT it kicks down, is this normal? I am asking now because I blew the one way gear/clutch pack at the back of the tranny (I can’t remember what it is called). The truck won’t drive with shifter in D or 3rd, but if I drop it to 2nd and 1st I still have these 2 gears, as well R still works. Anyway I thought I would try and fix this other problem when I had the tranny out. Also is there an after mark replacement for this one way gear?? My buddy is the transmission specialist at the local Chevy dealer and says this is a weak point and changes a lot of them. He suggested I try and find a stronger aftermarket unit.
