  1. I have an 03 Silverado and the steering wheel has been making a really annoying squeak lately. The noise is somewhat high pitched. My steering wheel isn't clunking either as I had the new intermediate steering shaft installed a few years ago. It only makes the noise when I'm not on a smooth road and am going over bumps. It sounds like the noise is coming from right behind the steering wheel. It could be traveling up through the column but it sounds much closer. Has anyone experienced a similar noise or know what might by causing it? Chris
  2. I'm open to offers but I've priced it lower than the others I've seen on eBay. Chris http://cgi.ebay.com?ViewItem&item=261236475005
  3. I'm looking to replace the stock speakers in my 03 Silverado extended cab with BOSE. I don't know much about car audio but read that you should match aftermarket speakers to the same ohms as the factory ones. I'm keeping the factory head unit and amp. Does anyone know for sure what the specs are on the BOSE system? I've been doing a lot of research and have not came up with a definitive answer. I've heard 2ohms all around, 4ohms all around, and 4ohm front/2ohm rear, 4ohm front/8ohm rear. Crutchfield can't even give me a consistent answer. I ended up buying Boston Acoustics S65 speakers for the front and S75 speakers for the rear a while back but not sure if I should use them. Chris
  4. Price lowered to $100 + shipping on the defroster window. Need this gone. Chris

  6. You would need the XM receiver and the radio harness in addition.
  7. These are brand new and fit GMT800 (99-07 classic) trucks/suvs. They may work on other years. I am open to reasonable offers but they're already a fraction of the dealer cost. Let me know if you have any questions. 8. In my marketing class, I am competing in a Facebook fan page contest which will last about a month. Basically, the person who has the the most page “Likes” wins. I'm stuck at 227 right now. The more teams I beat, the better my grade is. I have chosen to do mine on the 2014 Silverado and Sierra since there is a lot of excitement surrounding their debut. I plan on keeping the page updated on any new details we hear about the trucks. Every like counts! If you guys have any ideas on how to reach a wider audience, I would love to hear them. I appreciate any help and thank you for taking the time to like my page. Chris The page can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/2014SilveradoSierraK2Platform
  9. I think its a fuse that must be put in to get the 12v working. I had my local shop hook it up while they flushed my transmission and didn't charge me for it.
  10. Figured it out. This thread can be deleted.
  11. So I was installing stainless steel brake lines to replace the rubber ones on my 03 Silverado 1500 4WD. 4 of them went fairly smooth. I was on the center line that goes down onto the rear axle and splits into 2 lines and I ended up stripping the thread on the fitting. I've never done brake lines before but I think I need to cut the tubing, put a new fitting on and flare it. Is the tubing 1/4" double flare? I rented a tool from Autozone to flare it. I heard that this type of tool doesn't work great but I figure I only need to use it once. Also, the employee at the local Autozone wasn't much help with finding the correct fitting. I looked it up and the GM Part# appears to be 15724652 and its description is "NUT,RR BRK FRT PIPE(7/16-24X0.36)(0.30 THD, .056 LENGTH, 1/4 TUBE, STL, GM7113M)(8.963)". Does this sound right? Its numbers 1 and 2 in the pic.
