  1. Before the snow flies I'm debating selling my truck. I bought it this summer on a whim because I have always wanted one but the debt of it with me still being in college is weighing on me. Clean title though. It's stock but had a K&N intake on it before I got it and was replaced with a stock airbox from an 05. -Black -119k miles -Previous owner hit something and it tore the right brake duct off. I fixed the tabs for that on the bumper and sanded a few rock chips out then painted it, doesn't have the best orange peel as I was in a booth here at school. -few dents on the hood/roof -has gauge repair by silverado777 -spray in bed liner -non-digital heater controls -westin full coverage floor mats in the front. yea, that's about it. pretty legit truck. I have regular silverado wheels with winter tires on it now but I'm going to keep them for my 99 silverado that i'd be keeping/driving. (20s are in the basement) I'm going to be undercoating it this weekend with the intentions of driving it this winter. Thanks Also, trades worth 2-3k plus cash might be considered.

    Clean your SSS

Yea, I plan on pulling the fenders this week and cleaning/undercoating there. I am driving it this winter so prep is important Just because he has a BMW doesn't mean he is rich; I have an 01 3 series I bought for 5k
  3. the elevation of my local track is 898 feet.
  4. Not that many, especially being an awd automatic. My buddy went with his automatic camaro and was running the same as he always does, ie the humidity and temp weren't that bad. Granted, the truck did have a K&N intake on it before I got it (had the sticker on the radiator support) and now it just has a stock air box. So maybe it has a tune that was for the intake and whatever else was on it?
  5. thanks, I bought an ebay cat instead of switching y pipes so I ended up cutting the old cat out at the welds then dropping the pipe by unbolting it from the manifold then using exhaust clamps to bolt it all back together. easy peasy, took an hour
  6. So I currently own 3 trucks, two 99 silverados (my old DD and a parts truck) and my SS. In an attempt to sell the 99's I am trying to get my old DD to pass inspection. I just took the cam sensor out of the parts truck and now it's time to tackle the passenger cat, which has a hole melted through it. I tried the resistor/cap mod to the post-cat sensor but it didn't work, tomorrow I am going to get an O2 sim and make/buy a 90 degree pipe fitting (to clear the frame rail). If that doesn't work I want to switch y-pipes as the parts truck doesn't have any O2 sensor/cat codes. Is it possible to remove the y-pipe without removing the trans support? I feel as if the trucks are too rusty to make removal even remotely successful. I have an aftermarket cat here from ebay but if I can switch the y-pipes and have it work then I am going to return the ebay cat. Thanks for your help! I tried searching but returned nothing useful.
  7. for the black trim try "back to black", they sell it at autozone and what not. as for the head lights if it doesn't wash off as I'm sure you tried then you might need to wet sand/buff it out. it's hard to judge the damage with just pictures. If you painted the grill with rattle can the bug remover might have taken the paint off. I think there is kerosene or something like that in there as I just used some today and it smelled kinda like that. Next time don't let it dry, just soak it down and scrub a 'bug sponge' then wipe with glass cleaner/car wash detergent http://www.3dproduct...g-5.25-x-4.html
  8. Ok, well if you still have it come spring I'll ask again. lol
  9. The dealer wont give a crap about your extra parts because most likely it will go to auction. Put it back to stock if you are going to trade it in. At least the forums will benefit from it
  10. Any way you would sell just the cover or possibly trade? I got my truck a few months ago and someone took off the K&N intake that was on there and put a 2005 box back in. My truck is an 03 so I'd like to get the proper one so the sticker is correct.
