  1. my 04 has about 130k miles on it and it has very abruptly begun having trans problems just today. truck will go into 1st and 2nd just fine but will go to neutral after trying to shift to 3rd. no 3rd, 4th and no OD. the motor is turning about 3k rpm at 40mph. i tried manually shifting up through gears at one time and it did something very odd, it shifted into 2nd with only 1st selected. the trans isnt slipping, and when it shifts, it shifts normally, its just hanging on to gears to long or not even trying to engage them at all. the fluid level is fine and is of good color and doesnt smell burned or anything. the truck does this cold or warm. i know it could be a trans problem but im hesitant to say its the trans itself, but this started all at once with no previous signs or symptoms and became more serious over the course of a few hours. it may be servos but im thinking more of a computer problem the only other things worth mentioning are a front wheel bearing that was bad that i let stay on the truck for longer than i should have, and just replaced today. and my abs light flashed at me after these problems started, but before they were this bad. so yeah, how screwed am i?
  2. i have a bad o2 and its state inspection time so i figured i might as well get rid of the need for o2s if i can. i dont have a lot of money for a tune and my other car is operating enough to use as a daily so i cant mail off my pcm for a tune so i was curious about simulators. do they work? are they worth the money? and where do i get them for my truck. or should i just not even bother and just buy a new o2?
  3. my other car is a little off compared to the types listed so far, but here goes 1986 Toyota Cressida, as listed in sig. started life out as dependaple little sedan and i meant to keep it that way. but then i sold my RX-7 that i was building and got bored. so the car went from this.... to this.... slammed down...alot with springs and shock, plus exhaust, intake, wheels, the usual light mods for a drift car. i think i had fixed all the body damage that i earned while sliding at the time of this pic. but then i went a little crazy and decided to go all out with the car and build it like i really wanted to. just for reference, the engine bay went from this..... to this.... its a project that is still ongoing, but the build includes turbo and manifold scrounged from a supra, full standalone ecu(laptop programable), 3" exhaust, front mount intercooler, clutch, flywheel, and a whole lot of other stuff that im forgeting. ive got a decent amount of money in the car now and a whole lot of time as ive built almost everything myself, but as far as i can tell its the only one of its kind in the country. take that as you want seeing that it is after all still a Cressida. but heres how she sits now, patiently waiting on me to find the time to finish her up.
  4. im definatley coming as well, but i may be able to stay all day. is there any contact info that needs to be shared to help everyone meet up without getting lost or turned around?
  5. i love putting bus lengths on arrogant guys with their g/fs in the car. good job bro.
  6. none of the above. do turndowns underneath the truck. looks the best IMO
  7. whats the width of the new wheel? offset changes fitment with wheel width, the stock wheels are 20x8.5 with a +22 offset i believe. if the wheel is wider it will stick out farther than stock. if the new wheel is narrower is will suck in deeper than stock. i use this calculator to figure out fitment for different wheels. it may help you out some http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
  8. sears broke a power steering line on my toyota pulling it off the alignment rack(after not performing the alingment they said they could do), there was a trail of p/s fluid coming from the lift all the way to my car. i threw a fit, but got no remorse or appology from anyone there. i feel for you man. sears service sucks. i like the tools, but everything else is horrible.
  9. haha i havent seen that in a while, i almost forgot about that vid. i was born and raised in Mobile Al, so that clip just makes me feel all warm and tingly for home.
  10. good luck man, be safe and come back soon
