7th OF JUNE "My Other Car" Show Display Saturday, June 7, 2008 as part of the 25th Annual St. Charles RiverFest "My Other Car Show" is not actually as a show, but rather as a display – an eclectic mix of interesting vehicles of various styles and years. The name was inspired by Mike Manderino of the Chicago Corvette Club, when he said, "We all have other cars," meaning not just Corvettes, which are featured in a separate show the following day at RiverFest. SHOW HOURS - 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, June 9 SHOW LOCATION - Pottawatomie Park, south end of park along the east bank of the Fox River. DIRECTIONS TO PARK - Pottawatomie Park is reached from Route 64/East Main Street by taking 2nd Avenue north until it dead ends at North Avenue, then turn left (west) down the hill into the parking lot at the river. ACCESS TO SOUTH SECTION OF PARK - Access into the park is a walking path, not a street. Enter at the SE corner of the riverside parking lot between the miniature golf course and tennis courts). For safety reasons, the access path is open to vehicles only at limited times by special arrangements with the St. Charles Park District. MOVE-IN/MOVE-OUT TIMES - Move-in is Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., when the access gate will be closed. The gate will re-open at 6 p.m. when the park closes.
