  1. Transfer case chain! Have a buddy power break it while u put ur hand on the case to feel for the pop. Had the same thing happen to me and replaced all the front end parts like a tard. Good luck brother
  2. If y'all are talking about the white plastic piece, it's the factory alignment insert. When u pull it out then you can adjust the camber/caster.
  3. Def have a wonderful talent brother, amazing work and glad life's been treating u well.
  4. I just got out of the Army last year, was stationed at Stewart down near Savannah. Moved up here near my brother and my wife's parents and as for shops I do all my work myself. Don't trust no folks around here to work on my stuff and I have the tools so why not.
  5. I'm just east of Atlanta so not to terribly far.
  6. Beautiful truck brother and heal of a deal, where in ga are u located?
  7. Gosh seein that truck makes me remember what mine looked when I purchased it, I need new dad gum seat covers cause geez that interior looks bangin compared to mine.
  8. Happy birthday brother, hope u make it home and have some time with family of some sort before the days through. Be safe out there on the road, brother drives so I know how it is for y'all.
  9. Man that sounds amazing, love how the roll pan fits so nicely and just the overall flow u have with the color scheme. Job well done brother
  10. Well after replacing the pump, pump screen, tail shaft, input gasket and transfer gasket with a new chain and fluid it looks as if everything is running smoothly with no leaks cross my fingers. Thanks for the input and support guys, a man can really loose his mind when something goes wrong like this. Bath time!
  11. No he's talking about anaerobic sealer, it dries from lack on O2. Good stuff for sure brother, thanks for the tip and not using the cracked case just the tail shaft portion that wasn't damaged, decided that yesterday cause mine has the pump wear.
  12. Naw there isn't a gasket and I've run some sand paper over it to take the smooth edge off it. I pray this fixed the issue and the adapter is supposed to fill with fluid or all this is for nothing lol
  13. Boom, that's what I am using putting it together with lol I have just enough to finnish up with Monday then gotta get more. Love the stuff and use it on everything. Wish I knew how to do the pics on here I would snap some of all I've done to give someone else the confidence but I guess there's plenty on here as it is.
  14. Yea the t-case I got off a guy on her about a year ago had roughly 40k on it from what he said but it broke the adapter when o put it in and split the front part of the case. The rear half of the case is perfect so I put a new tail shaft seal on it and also just installed a new pump and the case saver so I'm starting out fresh on that end. The new chain came in about two hours ago and I cleaned the front half of the case removing any rtv in the cracks and checked all the bearings for play and it all looks new. Now just have to wait till Monday when the new screen comes in to Finnish it up and see if this input seal was in fact the culprit. Wish me luck fellas and thanks for the input, def need the second opinions on stuff like this.
  15. I just pulled the input shaft out of the transfer to look and compare the seal to the other t-case I have it noticed it was full of rtv. The seal isn't worn on a specific side and seems somewhat still maluable compared to the brand new seal. So unsure if that's the problem but am gonna replace the input seal anyways just for safe measure, the thiefs at the dealership wanted just over fifty bucks for that seal. Just don't understand why it was coming out of the breather tube.
  16. Yea I've already picked up all the gaskets and the input gasket on the transfer case but don't want to put it together and it not fix the problem. All trans shops are closed today so I'll have to wait till Monday but I'm still waiting on the chain and screen anyways so it is what it is for today.
  17. That's my thinkin as well, every time I have seperated a transfer off a chevy trans it has leaked. Now I have only pulled three off of others trucks and pulled mine three times as well but it makes sense to me. I'm gonna call some transmission shops and see what they tell me.
  18. But with gaskets in between the trans and transfer is it supposed to fill up the spacer or am I just hoping that it should cause I don't have the bread to rebuild the transmission right now.
  19. Well just started it and it's pouring from the trans at the output shaft, but looks like the output shaft has movement in it as well. Don't see a seal of any type so looks like this tranny is coming out! Dangit
  20. Maybe now that I have a baby on the way I'll get back a little more than just a grand a year and be able to pick myself up something like that. But I guess I should be happy I get anything back really. I appreciate the input on here, tryin to get it back on the road cause I'm buying a lot of stuff right now and can hardly haul it in the wife's suv.
  21. I'm with yall there has to be a seal of something but I couldn't find it on the diagram the guy had so I just bought the $50 input seal for the transfer but I don't think that's the issue looking at how the fluid is coming off the trans shaft. Tomorrow I'm gonna start it and let it warm up and check the level and maybe I can actually see if it drips from there or not. If it does I wouldn't mind if u sent me that setup cause geeezzz that's nice.
  22. Just left the chevy house and they said there no output shaft seal on our transmissions. Has anyone replaced one and if so can they point me in the direction to getting one and do I have to pull the transmission apart to do so? Thanks fellas
