  1. Pick up the welder tomorrow to do the c-notch, got a tank for 100 bucks and a Lincoln 210 mp with a cart for 750 so that will def get the job done. Just gotta but the c notch and air bag kit for it and I'll be ready at this point. What's 400 more dollars right lol shits expensive

  3. i think you should invest that money u would spend on the supercharger on a daily driver car and sit back and punt until u can come up with the funds to buy a 6.0 or 5.3 and then beef it up like u want. Even after u supercharge the v6 there are no guarantees it won't have issues don't care who the mechanic is so u will still be without a truck trying to sort that out in the short amount of time u have. Buy a car and baby your truck like u want to.
  4. I'll def see what I can do with the photos but we all know the issues with that and I'm not to computer savvy. Contemplating if I should do a mini notch while I'm in there and just take the bed off to make it all that much easier. Was backed into Friday in my parking lot so dealing with that at the moment. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll bang it out though, the guys at work are def giving me shit for not getting it done sooner but side work keeps me to busy at the moment.
  5. So I've been working at a shop here in Ga for a couple of years and am one of two guys with a sport truck, everyone else has lifted rams. The owner of the shop took me to the road to discuss future plans we have of opening up a retail store for our shop and when we're walking back I noticed my truck wasn't parked in my spot anymore but pulled into the shop. All the guys were standing around my truck and my boss walked me up and lowered my tailgate and inside was a djm 3/5 kit with belltech street performance shocks! I'm not on Facebook nore do I have many friends that can appreciate that kind of thing so I thought I would tell u guys. Now all I have to get is moog ball joints cause djm ones suck ass.
  6. Yea I had a bad time with my transfer case and buying a bad used transfer case off a guy on this site actually and was so close to selling that pig. Cleaned her up yesterday and man am I glad I didn't, for one I can't stand a seat belt chime, I know I need to put it on but give me a sec! lol don't have that issue with my truck. Just so many positives about it once u get her dialed in it's worth the hassle in the end
  7. Lol mine went out at a mud bog and a sawsall and flex pipe made it so I could get home. I know it's funny but in a pinch it worked.
  8. It's the only thing on my truck like this but I used plastic dip cause my head was in my ass and was thinking of using the same type of material but I'm sure sanding and painting it would last longer and hold up to the pressure washer.
  9. Why don't u get a buddy to shake the steering wheel left and right as hard as they can while u check all the steering components underneath visually and by feel. Also if u have a bad ball joint the easiest way to diagnose is jack one tire maybe three inches off the ground by the lower control arm and put a pipe or pry bar if u have it under the tire and pull up while having someone check for play or movement.
  10. 427 lsx with 80 swap both built to the gills by me with a d1 or bigger procharger, 2017 escalade platinum interior crammed inside with the dash and all, lowered clean but still has a muscle stance, intimidator wing, cladding on the passenger door fixed cause I can't seem to keep the damn thing on! Update the lighting on the exterior but nothing ricer, decent system and I'm good. Basically a full restoration my way.
  11. Very simple job, I just cut the rivets with my dikes and pulled it off and like the others are saying just go back with plastic rivets. I'm sure u can pick up a plastic riveter for around 15 bucks at the parts store. Just make sure u take the ducts off so u can work on it easier
  12. Shouldn't that be a red flag to you right there? The hell with CalI, move to Texas and enjoy things like ss trucks without having to make sure it's ok to run whatever the hell u want.
  13. Do it yourself, there retard proof to install if u have basic reading skills and minimal mechanical skills. Plus it will save u the markup and labor.
  14. Did a battery box on a chevy ssr that was stainless and dropped down mounted to the frame but didnt run any wires because there already mounted in that area anyways. It was a pretty solid box and looked really nice and functioned well and believe it was made by a company called simple engineering. That should give u a start.

  17. Or it could be the output shaft bearing is in need of replacing, not a big job just don't buy from the dealership. If I recall correctly the bearing alone was 45 bucks.
