    I haven't tried it on the higghwY last truck with flow master droaned me to death. I Like loud I'm hoping it won't droan to bad. I did get a 520 code on the way to my buddies. I chalked it up to cylinders missing and not sending enough heat on that bank Oops I mean p0420

    Update. It seems the 30 minute drive to my friends even babying it clogged the cats. Especially the pass side. Remove and straight piped it. Runs like a beast again. However it used to have a really nice sound with the STS turbo. Now, without the cats sounds raspy and sort of obnoxious At least the misfires are gone.

    The battery was disconnected for a few days while working on it I wonder could the tuning lose its programming?

    I replaced intake and exhaust gaskets with the head gaskets. Tried spraying carb cleaner all around to double check. Could not find a leak. My friends ls specialist buddy is hopefully coming over tommorow to check it out. It's is idling really rough and low rpm about 500. Barely will rev up.

    I found a guy that specializes in Los engines. I'm going there tomorrow have him run his checks. Tonight I'm trying to do a comp check just to verify compression after the valve job and new gaskets. Thanks for any info anyone can think of. It's awfull hard seeing my baby run this way!

    So I'm boosting the other day and all of a sudden my truck starts running terrible. Exhaust sounds fluttery when accelerating. Thu thu thu. Flashing engine light. I scan it p0300?. I figure maybe I killed a plug. I run the live scan on my diablo to see all the cylinders. It is misfiring on 4,5,6. I throw some fresh plugs wires. No dice still missing. I put on spare maf. No different. I run it to the muffler shop they check the cats fo blockage. They test good with a back pressure gage I notice cyl 6 has way more counts 232. Cyl 5 - 44. Cyl 4 - 66. I verify fuel pressure. 55 at idle. I thing 6 has the most count so maybe it's triggering the others. I swap coils. No difference. I throw in some injector clean just for goofs. I swap injectors. No difference. I do a compression check. Cyl 4 and 6 are only 130 if I do a 3 second crank. The others about 150. So those two next to each other I think maybe a head gasket between the combustion chambers. I don't own a leak down tester and I don't trust too many people touching the ss.. I have a good friend that's pretty damn good with motors and I have been really sick and don't have too much energy to do it myself. So I have him yank the heads to replace the gaskets. The gaskets look good and no apparent damage to anything visible. I have him take the heads to the machine shop to get tested. The machine shop guy says I have two burnt valves and some weak springs. 1 warped valve marginally.. He goes thru them replaces the springs and valves laps them in. My buddy re-installs everything. Starts her up she is purring nice while warming up for twenty minutes or so while topping off the antifreeze and so on. Takes her around the block and all of a sudden flashing light running terrible. Get it back to the house. Re-check all connectors. Everything looks good. Running terrible!?. Do a live monitor on the scanner. Both fuel trims are ar -10. It is running pig rich. My buddy my brother and I have checked everything. Idles rough and missing like crazy. I am running out of ideas. What to do next? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks
  8. I did the walbro, works great. Had too pull it out, truck started sputtering. Found out high pressure fuel injection hose does not last. Went to Carquest and purchased high pressure submersible fuel injection hose, about 20 bucks. Three years no more problems. I also drilled some extra holes in the bottom of the plastic fuel pump assembly and a good slit that the fuel sock actually sticks out the side so it would not starve for gas under boost.
  9. Well I got the meth kit installed and went to the races Saturday. Got to race a Firebird. I fell asleep on the line but caught and passed him. New best time 12.7, not too bad but had a couple of misfires going on. I guess thats racing but still alot of fun. Heres a link to the vid my buddy shot.

    Fun Morning!

    I was out getting donuts this morning and at the stop light a Mustang Mach 1 Early 70s I'd say pulled up and all I could hear was blap blap blap vroom! This thing sounded ferocious! I look over and he's eyeballing the SS. The light turns green and sure enough he romps on it , of course I do the same and pull 3 lengths pretty darn quick. He gives me the thumbs up. I was already thrilled to have spanked a Ford and a couple miles later I was almost to the house and you wouldnt believe what pulled up next to me a brand new SRT8 MAGNUM SWagon. His windows were so dark I cant see inside so I figure I'd step on it lightly and see what happens, He takes the bait and were off, he stayed with me for probably half a second till the hight boost/methonal kicked in , I pulled about 4 lengths on him and he let off. At the next signal he rolls down his window and gives me the peace sign. Both Good sports and what a great morning!
  11. Thanks! I can't complain at all, the kit was nice quality and I'm still tuning it conservatively of course, but I'm Very happy with it.
  12. I was down to 1/8 tank on that run and she sputtered on take off a little.

  14. 42lb injectors single turbo kit i think t60 and using the diablo tuning that came with the kit. I have it turned up to about 9-10 lbs of boost so far on the high setting. Half tank of gas with the fiber tonneo cover and tail gate on, no spare tire. With the meth I'm hoping to turn it up to 12 and see what happens. So I see you have an STS too - do you love that sound or what. The other night I caught a light with a newer STI, he stepped on it first and I still pulled a couple of lengths on him like nothing. Too Cool!
  15. Well, I went to the track the other night, My brother and I installed a STS with injectors, intercooler, HV fuel pump, boost controller, gauges etc in the last month. Its not fully tuned infact still running on the rich side to be safe, slowly dialing it in. I raced 3 musting GTs, 1 GTO, 1 Lighting, and a Dodge Diesel, Smoked them pretty good. That STS system impressed the hell out of me! Before with a Diablo predator, CAI, Magnaflow, fans, 160 thermo, shift kit and vig 2600 only managed to get a 15.6 at 87 best run. 6000 ft static high altitude. On this night with the STS and learning how to launch (definately need practice) I averaged 13.45 at 103 and did a best of 12.88 at 97.8 pushing thru the red because my brakes wouldnt hold a full boost launch! What a fun night! Best part was wooping up on the mustang GTs -- an 08 with headers, cai, dyno tuning etc ran a 14.5 at 98mph best and the lighting ran a 14.1 at 95mph best. Those were the two fastest I raced. Getting ready to put on the meth injection and crank it up soon, cant wait to see what it does.
