On my ss i have chrome stockers that are flaking around the valve stem. Can they be rechromed? I really like them but it depends on how much the cost is to fix on wether or not i keep them. On another note i would like to have a lighter wheel but i still want to haul 4000 lbs. Any suggestions? Thanks Mike

i am in toledo ohio. Not sure if i want another tune. superchips kinda left a bad taste.

When i bought my ss it came with a superchips tuner. So i thought i would give it a try. Of course i was eager to install it thinkin my truck would be lightning fast. So i went out to tear up the open roads, standin on it at every country corner. Needless to say im not a fan of the tune. It did give more big end pull and Acceleration a bit better but not much. The main thing i did not like was the long drawn out 1-2 shift. So i returned home to remove the tune and keep the tuner for a diganostic tool. So i get out of the truck and go to the bed to retreive it, AAAARRRRGGGG!!!! I forgot to put the tailgate up!!!! Is the any way i can remove this tune without the programmer? Maybe reset my ecu? Any help would be appreciated. I cannot stand this tune, and i dont want to sell my truck becuz of it. thanks mike

It was brought to my attention that i may not have a bose head unit. Its a single disc with a tape player. It does not say bose on the head unit. My window sticker however does say my truck has a bose system. I bought it used. Could somebody have switched it? Thanks Mike

how would the truck run with the larger injectors under 2500rpm. would it foul plugs?

I have an 03 ss with 58,000. It is stock with duals. Will the cast pistons hold up? I know that generally you want to run 8-1 compression with forged pistons however u could underdrive the charger. But would you have to underdrive it so much that its not worth it? I had a b/m street charger on my vega with 9-1 casts and it held i am just not sure of the motor in my ss. Its one thing to grenade a 68 327. However a 03 ss daily drive is another. Is their a complete kit i can buy? I know nothing about the whole fuel injection thing. All my motors up to this point have been carburated.

hey guys, please help me out! on my 03 ss (i believe its my onstar speaker) i have a ticking noise. Sometimes it does it with the radio off and it also does it with the radio on. doesnt matter if i hit any of the stereo buttons it wont go away. ant thoughts at all would be helpful. also it will get loud then start to fade. my stereo is stock and i have never touched it.(other than the buttons) thanks in advance mike

thanks to all for your input. my local track opens april 9 so i'll makes some passes with the stocker then with the volant. The e.t's will decide for me.

my first computer and i cant type so please bear with me. just purchased my first ss. this thing is FANTASTIC!!!! its a 03 awd. my question is, has anyone tried modifying the stock air box (smoothing, wraping with insulation) or am i just wasting time. i see you guys like volant but i have a long way to go, so any money saved will get me farther faster. also if i do the ram air off the bottom of the bumper will i have any issues when it rains? thanks guys your input would be greatly appreciated.
