  1. thanx fellas, I just paid the dealer and dropped it off at the Chevrolet dealership to have the front diff rebuilt and an alignment...a total of around $1500. It's definately not the same as the auto 4x4 tahoes and silverados Ive test drive before. Its awd, and there is a selection for low, which locks all four in. It has pretty much all the bell and whistles except for the rear dvd and sun roof. I'll post some pictures up as soon as possible. I go to pick it up on friday if all goes well. I'm excited, because ive never had a nbs burb/tahoe before. I've had 4 4x4 nbs silverados, and 3 nbs 2wd silverado's, but never something with so many options. Thanks again for all the help gents, Rob
  2. Hey guys and gals, I found a 2004 suburban with the AWD system. First off, does anyone know if this is the same system/setup as the SS? I got good deal on it because the front differiential needs rebult. The truck has about 120k on ODO, and everything else seems to be solid. What would you recommend replacing/servicing aside from the usual oil, tranny filter, radiator flush? What is everyone using on their front diff rebult as far as part brands go. This is my first AWD vehicle, any help would be much appreciated. I have some new BFG AT's mounted on Mickey thompson 17' to throw on it, people have told me rotating tires is important with an AWD vehicle. Thanks, Rob
  3. Thats cool, yeah I need the plastic one. They want like 185 new from magnacharger! Its fuggin plastic!!! Come on guys help me out. I got instant paypal!
  4. I need a radix plastic air tube for a 112 on a 2004 silverado. Does anyone have an extra one of these lying around?
  5. I do plan on keeping it n/a for awhile but, plan on going F/I down the road. This won't be my daily so It can be a little nasty but, I don't want too big. It's not going to be at the track every weekend. I guess I am just looking for something that will give it some low end torque that might benifit from a small stall. What size cam is in the LQ9 stock? Rob
  6. I NEED THEM AS WELL. Please PM me if you have some. Rob
  7. Hey I am new to the site, but not new to truck forums. I am trying to do some research on the best cam for a N/A LQ9. I currently have a 2004 RCSB that is that beautiful GM Victory Red with a 5.3L. I plan on doing the swap sometime this summer. I am looking for something like the tr220 is for the 5.3L. Something with some low end power. I was also wondering if the stock 4l65e would suffice. If so I'll just buy the motor/trans together for cheaper. I usually hang out at fullsizechevy.com and pt.net. Not to talk trash on either site, but I feel this would be the place to come as you all have LQ9's from the factory. I love the Silverado SS and wish they had made a RCSB version. Since they didn't I will have to make my own. I have been looking around the site and have already seen my hero (ImpoSSter SS) has already done what I plan on doing. I am also hoping this site is a little friendlier then pt.net. Every time I ask a question there they tell me to do a search. All I ever find when searching is other posts where someone has asked the same questions just to be told to do a search. It's like they are too good to answer a damn simple question. Anyways sorry for the novel but, I hope to find more help here!! Thanks for the help, Rob
